30 day squat challenge

Recommended Posts

I don't see why you couldn't. What is your running program?

I'm doing c25k and will do the last day of week 6 tomorrow. It's a 9 week program. Ideally, I'll be up to 5k in three weeks, but I think that might be ambitious... I'm supposed to run for 22 minutes with no walking breaks tomorrow.

Good luck! My plan is to eventually start that. Not quite ready though.

Ok - I am a late joiner. Definately want to do this. I will start tomorrow. Today I have 3 outdoor soccer games to ref and two indoor games to play. When you count - do you count 1 for each leg or is 1 both legs?

Oh my gosh, I did like squats on steroids today in my cross fit class. We held a 20-30 lb medicine ball (may have been heavier), squat and on the way up out of squat, threw the medicine ball high up against the wall and caught it on the way down above our head, repeat. I need to work on these! My upper body strength and core are so weak, but are going to get better as cross fit continues to kick my butt.

I'm a wimp so I did 25 last night and go for an increase of ten per day on days I don't jog. I even took a picture of my flabby tush to see if it helps things look better! Yikes!

I can say that my thighs are definitely feeling tight all day long, lol. This going up 10 squats a day is killer.

Picked 100 squats today, and 60 of those were kettle bell squats!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
