Any April sleevers out there?

Recommended Posts

Oh, I've gone totally public with my surgery. I have a blog and everything, and I keep everyone updated on Facebook, too. I know that there's a chance I could fail at this, so in my mind if I have people cheering me on and really rooting for me, then I'm less likely to slink back into old habits. I have immense support, but I just wish my mom were more supportive. My aunt will be at the hospital all day with me on Sleeve Day, and my sister will be here with me my first night at home, and I have a ton of friends who've offered to come by and help, keep me company, feed my pets, etc. But I feel like a big old brat because "I want my mommy," and she is resisting this thing.

Tell your friends, and if they ask questions? Educate them. That's what I do. Or start a blog with a "FAQ" section. I did that, too. I'm not shy about talking about this, and I feel like the more people know what I'm doing and going through, the more they'll understand.

You shouldn't do this alone, Lory.

I'm getting worried!!! I seem to do great thur the week . the weekend comes and I have NO resolve .a lot of the time I'm not even hungry, I have rarely done that before ??? Now it's an every weekend thing !!! 3weeks to lose the last bit of weight

5 lbs ... But that also means 2 weekends to gain the rate I'm going .. the pre op weigh in is on the 15 th the 20 th and 21st are the clear liquid diet stage for me so at least I can Put the fork down that weekend :() I think I'm going to sart on the 18th however . I have been doing the low carb shakes for Breakfast and lunch and low carb sugar free for dinners only cause I'm playing with what I can do for variety when I get to stage 4 it has been a learning curve haha ... I have already got my meal plans for the 1st month of stage 3 and 4.... next week I'm going to start making and freezen my meals for stage 3 and make my own zip lock starters for smoothies for stage 2

I have to do this cause I have tried ALL of the flavored Protein in all forms and I can't do it :( but I can do unflavored in most things except crystal light fruit punch lol taste like cheap bubble gum .so some good has came out of my hungry game weekends

I'm going to chalk it up to nervousness and move on I hope everyone else is doing well

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
