Thanks ladies! My parents have always called me big mama. Last weekend, my dad was saying "lil mama come here." I thought he was talking to my daughter! After calling "lil mama" 3xs he said "Mercedes, you don't hear me calling you?!" ???? ???? I'm not that small!! Soon, though, God willing!

hello!! Congrats on you weight loss u look great how long u had surgery?

I had my surgery dec 4th 2014. The first surgery I had was rny and I had complications (extreme pain) because my intestines weren't put right. My surgeon had to revise to a sleeve on March 16th 2015. So I had two surgeries and had to go through all the stages 2x. I am 8 pounds from goal in six months due to this.

It's been tough but totally worth it in every way!!

@@bellabloom that gives me hope and inspiration! My highest weight was 247 at surgery day I was 220 and have dropped 25 lbs in 2 months. I can't wait to see me get to that size. I'm 5'6 as well and goal weight of 130-135. I'm 36 years old and hoping my skin will play nicely with my weight loss! Congratulations on your weight loss!!

You look great!! Did you have any stalls? After I lost 84 pounds I just can't seem to lose anymore ???? I still have 40 more to go to get to my goal.

I haven't had any stalls but I rarely eat more than 500 calories a day. I'm not suggesting you do this- I do because I am dealing with a very very restrictive sleeve and still figuring out what I can eat. I also have very severe gerd.

My intake is starting to go up however as I recover. I'm going to lose to 130 and then do what I have to do to stop the weight loss because I don't want to go any lower. Technically my surgeon set my goal at 135 but I feel I'd be happier with 130.

I've lost 2-5 pounds a week constantly. Sometimes I lost as much as 7 pounds. I haven't been able to exercise but I'm fairly active due to my job.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
