How Do I Delete My Profile?

Recommended Posts

I was always surprised when people would tell me how they were discouraged or other people were unkind to them on this website. I never understood that until today. From now on I am sticking to family & my surgeon's office support groups. Since I am apparently too dumb to figure it out on my own, can someone please tell me how to delete my profile from here? Thanks.

DeeDee, I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be mean to you and I made no secret of that. I sincerely hope you do not leave this site because of my posts which I gladly took down when I realized you were upset about it. If I am off the mark here let me know, for all I know this could be about something else but considering our most recent interaction I hope you can reconsider. There is room for all of us here.

Dede please don't ok? We have all of us had a bump or bruise here.. When I answered you that fist time remember? I said that I swore I would never post again but there I was doing it?

It was because someone attacked me. Well I didn't leave because I felt The need to Speak to you when I saw your post !! You will have insight to give others that is from your own unique perspective and this site needs you!

Laura

Plus this site is addicting and you will miss us :P

I'm sorry if I offended you! Maybe I'm off my rocker but I just really feel Grace was coming from a good place and was honestly trying to help.

Anyways I hope you will stay.

DeeDee, stick around! Just think to yourself, there could be one person out there that you can reach and relate to, give information to and help on their journey to a healthier lifestyle! What happened happened, I think we've all made amends and hopefully we're all good (I'm good). I really wish you'd stick around. There are some top notch folks here who, like I told you earlier, will go out of their way to help you and see that you're ok. We're all in this together, and since there are so many of us, our personalities and such will clash from time to time, but like a family, we'll work it out and we'll be good to go. Cmon girl, you can do this!

DeeDee today I realized after having a chat with a certain someone that I come off as pretty cold and clinical. That is never my intention but it's a byproduct of my work. I try to be as clear and concise as I can and sometimes seeming brusque is a side effect of that and I am really sorry because I must have come off as a real ass to you but it wasn't on purpose and I do feel bad that it's got you this upset.

If you really want to delete your profile, why wouldn't you just research the FAQ's or logout and never come back!?? I'm calling you out on some passive aggressive behavior stuff.

If someone upset you, direct your comments to them and have it out! We are adults and this is a public forum. Obviously i don't want to speak for you or your motivations but I'm here to learn About myself from people like me, who are in the same/similar situation. I hope that people like Grace and others tell me straight. It's up to you what you do with it. Be hurt if you want, but say it and deal with it.

After searching, I found the info you want in the forum rules. Here is a link.

http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules

What you are looking for is in the section titled "Special Notices" and it states that you can't delete your account or have it removed, but you can change the user name and all the personal info...

Hope this helps.

I'm glad you feel that way about people being honest.... So I know that you will listen to this with your big girl panties on.

This really is not about you right now and your comment does nothing more but try to stir up more discontent...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
