I put on a pair of pants today that I only wear once in a while. When my coworker told me that they looked really loose on me, that's when I went and looked in the mirror and saw just how loose they were. I like my jeans tight on my body and I felt like a hobo in these. They are a little looser (not much) on my thights, but are super loose on my lower leg and loose on my backside. I have been only able to see the weight loss in my face, until today. I'm down 37 pounds since starting my nutrition visits in June. I now hate how these jeans look on me (loved them before), so I will be putting them in the "no longer wearing" pile that I am now starting.

I am with you. I am a month post surgery. I lost 27 pounds. However, I do not see the lost. My husband say he can really see in my face. Thankful for the 27 pounds, but I want to look in the mirror and say "Dang". But I know it will come!

You look great and you can definitely tell!!!! Big difference! I'm 4'11 and somehow I carry my weigh well. My fiancé had no clue I weighed as much as I did. In fact he was shocked when I told him my current weight and how many pounds I have lost. Keep rocking your sleeve!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
