How much energy will have have after?

Recommended Posts

roxannez,

I love hearing positive stories like yours! I am about the same as you starting out. I am having nothing but positive thoughts about my surgery which is on March 8th.

You will do great, it will all be worth it. Honestly the worse thing for me was coming off the general anesthesia meds - pretty bad nausea for 48 hours, but after that I was walking a half hour to an hour a day, drinking 64 oz and eating between 60 - 80oz Protein. I wish you very much luck!

Nope, not a huge amount. Honestly the thinnest I ever was and I looked DAMN good at that weight is 170. The doc expects me to easily get to 150. I am 216 as of this morning and I was 238 before I started my preop diet on Jan 22nd. Since I'm OCD and track everything - here are my weekly stats since then if you're curious: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtW90JQQyIegdG1wZFpQemNDZTkxR1lodDRzdnoyaEE. The most awesome is the craaazy loss of inches. For fun I measured my waist this morning and since Wednesday I've lost another inch off my waist! It's completely and utterly worth it.

We sound exactly the same! I weighted myself on Friday before I started my pre op diet and I was 136 pounds. I am 5'8" . How tall are you? My ultimate goal is 150, but honestly 170 is fine with me! I'm thin at 170. :). Thanks for sharing your timeline. When I get my kiddos in bed I am going to read it. This is really helping me. I love hearing from eveyone. Thank you!

I just noticed we have the same surgeon. I have heard good things! How did you decide on him?

We do? I have 3 friends that have used him and have been happy. My surgery date is March 1. Are you traveling to Vegas to do this? I am from So. cal. So I will be there from Thursday to Monday. We need to keep in touch!

Sumsuz68 - I am traveling to Vegas for my surgery I am scheduled for March 5 -my preop is March 5. I've been wondering about the amount of energy after surgery as well. I am going to a Maroon 5 concert on March 11. Are you scheduled with Dr Umbach?

I'm only 5'5'', but I've always managed to carry my weight pretty well. Actually the anesthesiologist on the day of surgery asked me why I was getting the surgery done in the first place because "you don't look like you need it." So I'm just hoping for a happy journey down to skinnytown. Glad to be of service, feel free to ask questions anytime. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
