3 weeks Post Op

Recommended Posts

Started back to work a couple day prior to my 3 week post op date! I was SO tired last night I didn't do anything until work tonight! Second day at work went great! I have not had that feeling of hunger since my surgery, wondering if that will ever return? Also anyone have any trouble eating breads or Pasta? I have not tried this but just curious, still in the "baby food" stage! As of today down 32 lbs from surgery, and loving it!!

I have read stories from many people here, that they Have had trouble with both of those things for quite awhile. So at three months out I still do not eat these. The best advice I could give is to wait and when you do try it, just try a small amount.

I am 3 weeks out today as well. I have tried a bite of bread and a some Pasta just to see how my sleeve would handle it and it went down and stayed down fine. I actually have no issues so far with anything I have eaten.

I am 30lbs down since surgery and have been in a stall for the last 4 days, very frustrating.

Maybe I ask what your starting weight was?

I'm 6 weeks out and I can eat 2-4 Pasta noodles. I have not tried bread more out of fear than anything else. I'm not craving it and am sticking the Protein first rule. I don't miss the bread and will put off trying it as long as possible. So far, so good!

30 lbs in 3 weeks? You're doing great! Don't be frustrated, I've noticed I can go 2-3 days at same weight and then all of a sudden drop a few lbs. My weight loss has looked like this: Wk#1: -12 Wk#2: -7 Wk#3: -6 Wk#4: -4 Wk#5:-3

@ Mikeross.

My starting weight was pre op was 317#. As of 02-12-13 I am @ 287# ! I am trilled at the weight loss, so far, but really can not wait to see the possibilities that lay ahead. I will say that I had lost a lot of weight prior to surgery also I did a 7 month pre surgery program, for insurance. My original starting weight was as of 02-21-2012 was 347# so on the program I lost quite a bit. Total down so far is a whopping 61#!!!!!!

I need to get new clothes soon!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
