The ore op diet was the hardest part for me. I felt so out of control I was so hungry all the time. I think I only lost 7lbs before my surgery and my nutritionist kept warning me they may have to reschedule if I didn't get my act together lol. My Surgeon said I needed to loose 20 lbs before surgery. Well I sure didn't make it to 20. The 2 day colon cleanse really helped me loose weight 2 days before surgery. I feel for ya....it sucks but hang in there. You can do it!!!!!

I remember going through this!! Ugghhhh.. I thought I would die! lol.. I did lose 15 pounds during the two week pre op diet. It was hard and I did cheat a couple of times. IT is WORTH it.!! Just hang in there. I wish I could tell you it gets easier but it doesn't.

I'm just ending day four of pre-op. I've been okay really. Until NOW! My husband cooked dinner for the kids tonight...grilled hamburgers and TATER TOTS! The entire house smells like them and I'm sitting here thinking about going down and getting some once everyone is asleep. I'm so mad at myself for thinking it but my mouth is seriously watering!

I'm going to drink my Protein and fill up with Water and go to bed! I will be so proud of myself tomorrow.

Thanks! I know this is for a good cause...it's just been harder than I thought. I'm home with a broken leg so all I have is time to think about is something crunchy! I'm also allergic to a lot of things, so I had to design my own pre-op! I'm trying not to go all liquid, but I have to lose 10lbs by next week for surgery! Pray for me! Lol!

I understand completely I also have to loose 20lbs total I have about 5 to go by the 25 or they will reschedule me. I've waited 2 yrs and my family is currently 1000 miles apart so I can do this for myself. Getting very frustrated and stepping on the scale all day. I'm not usually an anxious person but it's really starting to get to me which makes me wanna eat more.... Wish me luck!!

I'm also on day 3...it's tough, I'm not going to lie. I never thought I would want some plain 'ol grilled chicken as much as I did last night!!! I can honestly say that my body doesn't feel hungry and I think it's really all head hunger! One thing I can say is I feel like I'm totally out of energy and very CRANKY but I will do my best to hang in there :-)

Good luck everyone doing the pre op at the moment. I am dreading this. I struggle to behave for one day never mind 2 weeks :o

Luckily I don't have to lose a certain amount, the aim is just liver shrinking.

Omg...I'm on day three of preop diet and its really not easy. My husand and son had the nerve to order pizza tonite. I wanted to die. I locked myself in the room until they demolished the pie. In all honesty I was saying in my head; I hope they choke on it but that was the fat girl in me talking. Lol...affterward I started to do laundry and it didn't bother me any more.

My surgery is on 2/25. I have no limit of weight to lose. Doctor just want liver to shrink.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
