The weenies off of a hot dog?? I don't know...

But seriously I haven't seen that one come up here... I guess you could but look at the nutritional value.

You're right. I looked at the label and 13g of fat os wayyyy too much for the taste. I'm just sick of everything I've been eating. It's all the same (cottage cheese, eggs, Beans, chili, Greek yogurt). I am yearning for some carbs!!! When did you guys start lifting weights. I'm barely 4weeks and I want to take a class to lift weights but sometimes my main incision site still hurts or throbs sometimes so I hesitate. I have been swimming for a workout and that feels great. Any suggestions?

Hot dog skins I have been advised against early on in the surgery. Plus just as you noted, they are high in calories, and low in Protein.

Makes me want some sausage, lol,

tuna here I come.

As far as exercise, wait until your fully healed.

Don't pull an incision because you want to start exercise too early.

tuna is a good idea. Hard boiled eggs. Thinly sliced lean deli meats. My fav from my mushier days a slice of turkey around a piece of cheese.< /p>

Thanks for your suggestions. I guess I'm doing this right then. I have eaten cheese deli meat and eggs everyday. I was worried the cheese was too much fat but I guess it's allowed. Sometimes I don't know if I'm doing what everyone else is ya know? Thanks.

Haven't tried tuna yet but I will tomorrow because its so good!

Try low fat mozzarella. Or those baybel cheese wedges or laughing cow wedges

I bought 2 of the salmon pouches and mixed them with 1 egg, tuna, seasonings, small amount of lemon juice, dehydrated onions and 1 scoop of Protein Powder then made salmon patties "fried" in a skillet sprayed with Pam and 2 tsp. of Can't Believe It's Not Butter LITE. They were really good and soft to eat with lots of protein!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
