Idk what you do at the hosp. I work at the hosp where I'm getting mine done and I do patient care. I have already spoken privately with my boss because our schedules go in 6 weeks prior. To assure I will be off work. They are aware the date could be moved. I looked at it from the staffing point if view they can plan staffing and you could plan coverage or even alter your schedule. My boss has been great with altering my schedule so I can get all my testing done!

I'm being sleeved on march 20!! Feb 20 I will call for my fmla coverage...

I also work in several hospitals. There is often an option for the hospital to block the records of their employees. For me to view records of an employee' date=' I must go through an extra HIPPA screen which requires me to verify that I am authorized to review the records. The screen gives me a warning that states that if I continue my information will be reviewed for having accessed the records. Talk to the HIM staff and see if there is something they can help to protect your private information.[/quote']

My hospital has this we call it broken glass... That's what I'm doing for my procedure to keep my Info private.

I too work in the hospital where I will be sleeved. I waited to tell my manager I would be out for surgery until after I had my date & had made all my pre op arrangements & had an expected return date set. I then let hr know & lastly filed my dbl/fmla claim.. I have not to my manager what I'm having surgery for, but some of my coworkers do know & if asked I will tell the truth.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
