Surgery today! Dealing with boyfriends num

Recommended Posts

Either she is skinny and just dont get it...or she is jealous and wants the surgery herself

I said to my boyfriend that she is just jealous that I'm doing this. He said that's not true and that she thinks its unnatural and shouldn't be done. But whatever because I'm 2 days out and can't wait to be the new me!!!

Pfft. Unnatural. So if you were battling with some other disease for ages you shouldn't have surgery?

Two days out, you must be starting to feel a lot better?

Thanks everyone.

The surgery went well' date=' I was in a lot of pain when I first came out but I have a button that releases pain medication into my IV which really helped. I woke up every hour through the night either in pain or just uncomfortable. I decided at 4am that I'm not going back to sleep because its just not working so maybe later on today I'll sleep.

The hospital and all the staff are amazing! All the nurses and the surgeon are so so nice, answered every question I had. The nurses on my ward make me feel really safe, they are just so kind!!

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me and good luck to those who are having surgery soon xx[/quote']

I'm glad you are up and keeping us updated on how you are doing, I'm having the surgery on Monday I seen the surgeon today and everything is ready to go, I'm a little nervous but hearing from you makes me feel a lot better, so how bad is your pain in a scale from one to ten

I should have said that to her! Why didn't I think of that? She would have said some snide remark I'm sure.

I wouldn't say a lot better, actually I feel really crap. Just had my swallow test which made me feel sick and made gas pains worse. I ran out of pain meds so they are getting me some panodol but god I feel bad. Oh well keeping my chin up!

Thanks! The pain really varies, this morning it was more sick then pain but was about a 6, yesterday was a 3. Only right after surgery I probably reached an 8. It's not really the pain it's the nausea that's the worst. Gas pains are bad but they go away with a short walk.

I'm sure you will do fine, let me know how you go.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
