Question... I'm reading post op forums and seeing people are a month out and still only eating 2oz at a time. I'm 6 days out and can eat a whole chibani yogurt?? I can have a whole packet of Lipton Soup. I don't have any pain, sleeping normal, went grocery shopping, back to 90%!! Believe me I'm not complaining but wondering why I can eat so much??

Hey Debrry,

That's the thing with me too- i can have entire bowl of Soup, when my doc has put me on Clear liquids & has asked to have 60ml every 2hours, but tht's maybe bcoz i am having every 3-4hours,,,its come as a surprise  ..

Its my first day back at work today, exactly 7days after the surgery -- its just started, lets see how i do.

Good Morning Guys, its Jan29th, 9:30am,here in India & Day 2 at work begins !!!

Day 1 went off smoothly,i was dead when i reached home 9 hours later & to my surprise, slept super soundly for 13hrs straight.....that is how tired i was !!!

Today i am better equipped - have got Gatorade & Tomato Soup along - so that i don't end up completely grazed & swiped out !!!

Also, the first sign of weight loss is beginning to appear,my shirt is a little loose on the arms .....

Cheers !!!!

I am one week out- and I too can eat an entire can of Tomato Soup, a full yogurt, full apple sauce. Do you think I am consuming too much? I also drink lots of propel, apple juice, Water and now milk.

Any others similar?

I think you are having too much... a can of Tomato Soup must be taken in 2servings at-least.....apple sauce is too much carbs & i hope the milk is the fat free variety coz that too will be very heavy on the 1 week old stomach.

I was sleeved on January 21st too. I don't feel too bad, but I am struggling getting my Protein in. But, I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow and may get to expand my horizons. Reading everyone's comments has made me smile and feel like we will make it through together.

Hang in there everyone - it will get better and easier - just listen to your body, your doctor and let your confident, thinner self come through!:)

I think it is too much too ! I'm on day 8 and I am only allowed to have 3 oz of Atkins shakes at each meal. That and Clear liquids or diet Jello (goal is 64 oz a day). I have to stick with this stage until I see the doctor next week.

Hello my January 21st friends!

Can you please tell me what a typical day of liquids' date=' food and Protein looks like for you? Quantities you are consuming and times of day.

Thanks so much![/quote']

I use the free app called Lose It on my iPhone to track what I eat. If you go to the "more" tab and then "edit foods and. exercises", then you can go to "nutrient preferences" and choose for it to track your Protein and carbs. I'm still trying to find the magic number for me in calories, protein and carbs for the optimum weight loss. Generally I shoot for over 80 grams protein, under 50 in carbs and my calories have been anywhere from 400-990. I just hit 5 weeks today and have lost 17 pounds, started at 232 and now at 215.

I've attached a snapshot of my intake yesterday. it couldn't show the Breakfast in the pic.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
