It's getting so close. Friday I will be a sleever. I can't believe that this week in finally here. I went shopping this weekend for things that I will need in the hospital and when I come home. Also shopped for the family so they can fix easy meals for themselves.

So ready for this next step in my life. The first have I was overweight, now ready to start the next half of my life in a new body.

Sitting in waiting room waiting to be taken back to change into gown and everything. Not one bit nervous just excited! Ill keep you guys posted on how it goes! Good luck to everyone else today :D

Best wishes and speedy recovery. Check in when you can!

Maybe that is something we should come up with for the people who don't get them. I also suspect I should get a med-alert bracelet explaining my new condition

Something more to think about.

I'm getting a medic alert braclet : no NG tube. Bariatric sleeve 3/20/2013 my surgeons name and number

If people want the March sleevers list continued' date=' someone is going to have to take it over for me, at least temporarily. I was sleeved on Friday, and don't feel like sitting at the computer, and updating the list on my iPad is next to impossible. You would just have to go back and find my last list I posted on the 7th, and copy it, and add anyone who has posted a date after that. Thanks in advance, and sorry for not keeping up.[/quote']

You have done a great job!! It's your turn to heal!!! How you feeling?

Thanks! I feel better every day. The first day was pretty bad, the second day a little less, etc. I think the worst pain was the gas pain in the left shoulder, that has finally subsided. At this point in time, sipping liquids is my full time job. Even that is easier than it was yesterday.

@pollyp I'm great hun yesterday my sissy pick me up went shopping for the grandbaby,I'm going on like if I haven't had surgery that's how well I'm doing, and I was sleeved march 4th.. How are you?

Having my last drink of water before 12am, and counting the hours down now. I'm reporting for 7:30am...... #nerves

Good luck, keep us posted

Great to hear how everyone is doing.

I am starting my pre op diet tomorrow and am so nervous about being able to comply. I usually sabotage every diet I've started.

Positive thinking though! I've emptied all the junk out of the fridge and cupboards. And I am starting to get excited as it means op day is closer.

I seem to be feeling more assured that I won't die on the operating table but I am more cautious about the leaks/bleeds that can occur for a few weeks afterwards.

Mostly though I am so excited about saying goodbye to my painful feet, ankles and legs!!!

Just a quick question to anyone who has already been sleeved I had a really bad experience today I got 40 grams of protein in within 3 hours I want for a beautiful walk around my block with my mom before the walk though I use the bathroom obviously dispensed some gas went for my walk came back in from myself on the toilet probably another handful of times I was cold freezing actually I had cold sweats I wanted to die that has been my only negative experience so far I am now going to be getting my second bottle Isopure to get my last 40 grams of protein in anybody else experienced this I mentioned it to my girlfriend who had gastric bypass because her husband had the sleeve done and she said that it actually happened to Anthony and she believed he got some of the dumping syndrome but I have had no sugar just my liquid protein and water and some propel 0

Awwww so sorry for the way you feel, plz keep going I was sleeved a week ago and I'm doing great, some of us jus have it harder than others, that doesn't mean you give up,jus mean you keep pushing Harder..ONLY LOOSER LOSE AND WINNERS WINS...I THINK YOU A WINNER......

I'm officially sleeved! I was here at 6:30am after an hour and 15 minute drive. It was worth it though because I was first. No waiting on delays from others! I lost 15 pounds on the pre-op diet too! That was exciting.

Surgery went quickly. The doc said my liver looked great. No complications in surgery and no hiatal hernia to repair. So far I've been up walking twice and been able to get down 12 oz of water. I was fairly nauseous right after surgery but they gave me something and and after a few doses it was resolved.

I'm on some sort of pain killers the Percocet family but I don't recall what it is. Not having too much pain though. Just really tired due to lack of sleep last night. I also have a rough and scratchy voice. Overall doing great!

Thanks to all who have posted their stories on here. It made me less nervous seeing how many people have made it through without any complications. I'm just hoping today is a sign of more positive things to come as I progress through my path.

Good luck to all the other March sleevers!

I was sleeved 3/7. I feel great but I don't have any restriction on drinking!! I'm able to drink and drink! But if I drink broth I feel "full". Also when was everyone told to start protein shakes? I've been told 2nd week and then other dr said when I got home...

I was told protein shakes about 3-5 days after surgery.. BUT.. I suddenly cant keep them down..they are too sweet so I went to GNC for the isopure clear protein drinks..its a little better..1 bottle is 160 cal 40g protein and you also get 20 oz fluid.. hope this helps ..I was sleeved 3-6..so we are just 1 day off :)

Good luck to you from a fellow March 15th Sleever.

Don't listen to those NEGATIVE NINNIES! If your physician believes the WLS is appropriate, that's the end of it and tell those people to go find something productive to do with their time.
