Hey, Julie and thistlegirl- I'm same day as you two. Day 2 of the liquid diet... Headache! My boss offered to liquify pizza for me. I thanked him and said that was not allowed.

Good luck to all of you tomorrow! I will be one week post op tomorrow and I have to say the relief of having it done and looking forward to the future and even the healing is SO much easier than the anticipation of the surgery it's self!

Speedy recovery!

That makes me happy and relieved. I cant wait to just have it over with. I go in thursday at 730 am.

It's finally here, Have to be at the hospital at 6:30 in the morning. I am not feeling nervous... what the heck is wrong with me?? lol

I just had my surgery yesterday and thankfully my insurance didn't require a lengthy pre-diet but I did have to pay 2150 to the hospital before they would register me. I had bout half of that and I got a personal loan to cover the rest. I likewise have not blasted it for all to know. A few close friends' date=' my boss who is like a friend and certain family members know. I'm sure I will get alot of questions once I start loosing weight and at that point I'll tell those who ask.[/quote']

What insurance did you have? I have no copay for the surgery but I'm afraid the hospital is going to drop a bomb like that on me.

Thanks newat52 & traycrow! Ill be praying for your surgery on thursday, tray & for everyone on here who's going thru this. Im still scared. I do pray & my faith is strong, but i still get the fear bug now & again. In the bible, God says "be not afraid" 365 times. He knew we 'd need to hear it repeatedly! ;-). I know we'll all be fine. I will be so happy when I've got one week under my belt like newat52. Will try to post tomorrow after surgery....or maybe the next day. :-0

Adoptamom, good luck to you! We're going on same day. Enjoy not being nervous!!! God bless!

Looking for someone to keep in touch with either with stats similar to mine... 5'0...205lbs. Or surgery date of 27th or 28th. Message me :)

I started this journey the end of dec. Have all my test done and dr. surgeon sent me to was going to clear me for surgery except my thyroid levels are off so cant get cleared until that is fixed. I was hoping for beginning of April but at this rate I will be lucky if its May. please say some prayers we can get the thyroid fixed quickly.I have been hiding behind my fat for about 23 years and I am ready to stop hiding from what has been hurting me for so long. being sexually abused, and living a life where I was always told I was not good enough or everything was my fault. I have finally realized I deserve better and so does my family and I AM WORTH LIVING and being happy

I just found this forum. IM having my surgery on March 26 and starting the preop liquid diet on March 19.

Adoptamom, good luck to you! We're going on same day. Enjoy not being nervous!!! God bless!

good luck to you as well! Talk to you "on the other side"!!
I go tomorrow. 5:30am. I am sooo nervous right now. My stomach is in so many knots. I can't even eat my disgusting PRE op food lol ahhh pray for me tomorrow!

Mine is March 26th and im freaking out! I can only imagine what your feeling. Good luck to you and i hope you have a speedy recovery!

Minime...try infant wind drops. It's the same active ingredient' date=' simithicone. In tablets they are 80mg I think, and the strips are 60mg. So you would just use whatever amount equals about that.

Thank you so much Deborah, I was looking into the drops yesterday but wasn't too sure but I'm getting desperate lol so ill give it a try.

Thanks everyone!!! It is crazy what is going through my head right now! Def wouldn't be approved for the psych portion of PRE op right now haha!! I know it is going to be SO worth it!! I've just never had any kind of surgery before. And I am so hungry right now and thinking of all the foods I want but will never have again (well any time soon). Ugh! Can't wait to get this over with!!!! Good luck to everyone else tomorrow too!!! :)

I was pretty good until the night before when I got really nervous. The next morning I was first up though so I did okay.

After my surgery I was offered by my surgeon to see photos photos taken during the surgery. I looked at the photos, and they were pretty cool, but it really hit home when I saw the pic of my stomach laying on the table. That's when I really asked myself what the heck I just did and realized just how permanent this is. I'm sure a few weeks down the road I will feel much better about it. Of course it didn't help when I stepped on the scale this morning and was up 13 pounds from yesterday! I know it's all Water weight but its still frustrating.
