Hi I am Mia, I live in Colorado and I am pre-op. I am hoping to be sleeved July 10th in TJ by Dr. Ramos Kelly if everything goes smoothly. I am only 5'0 and I weigh about 198 lbs. This actually does put my BMI above 40…for my height so I'm not to ally a low BMI.

I am hoping to be in TJ Mexico on July 10th if everything goes smoothly with my financing. Will anyone else be there???

So I know I need to go to Mexico to have my surgery now, it is not working out with my insurance, I am sooooo overwhelmed by all the different Doctor choices! There are sooo many different choices, and I have heard some of them have contravertial reviews… I know for sure I do NOT want to be at a place where you stay in a recovery house, that would be crazy, I can not sleep with people around at all (I'm already worried about sleep in the hospital!) But I would like somewhere that you stay in the hospital a day or two then stay at a hotel. I will also be bringing my husband with me so knowing he would have a place to sleep would be wonderful! I also am looking for the lowest cost possible, I have seen a few that are about 8500 and that is just not an option for me right now. Thanks for any help!!!

I finally got financing worked out to go to Mexico and I am sooooo excited! However it seems like the options for drs/hospitals are endless!! Here are some of the main thing I am looking for in my care.... If it sounds like your experience please let me know! My husband will be coming with me so accommodations for him are a must. I would like my own room at the hospital and at the hotel (no recovery house) Transportation to and from the airport. A good clean reputation of the Dr and hospital. (I know all surgeons have have had complications of some sort or another but reputations come from repeated instances) Thank you for any advice and recommendations!

Is unflavored isopure truly unflavored or is there a better option for unflavored protein. I think for now I just plan of buying and unflavored protein and putting it in as many things as I can... Crystal light, propel, soup... Etc. Isopure bottles are so expensive and I have heard mixed reviews. Also Is isopure the only one you can buy in a store?

I know this topic comes up somewhat often and I know a lot of it has to do with personal preferences but I wanted to see if a lot of people agree on the a good tasting protein. I would like to hear about all different types. Powders. Bars. Unflavored. Already mixed drinks... Etc. Thanks!

I will be sleeved the 24th but by Dr. Kelly Kelly at Nova hospital... But I will be in the Lucerna hotel after that!

I will stay in the hospital 2 nights but I have planned to cut my trip short by only staying in the hotel one night instead of two.

I was told my drivers license and my birth certificate were good enough... That's what I will be going with.

I was scheduled the 17th but I had to push it back to the 24th to get all my financing done... I will be getting sleeved by Dr. Kelly on the 24th.

Has anyone ever heard of the POSE procedure...and if sobhave you heard of them doing it anywhere out of the US?

Sooo I have a surgery date….June 10th!! I am still trying to not get my hopes up though because I'm afraid my loan could fall through On the loan application when it asked for income I put our household income because my husband and I have been married for almost 10 years. But I'm thinking they may only of wanted my personal income, which probably wouldn't make me eligible for the loan. Does anyone know anything about this?

We have very similar stats, my starting BMi is 41 and I am only 5'0. You seem like you are a pretty fast loser, well definitely not a slow loser, I'm afraid I will be because 40 isn't a super high BMI (I know it isn't low either though) Can I ask what type of diet/ foods you mostly eat and what type of exercise you do?

I am happy to hear Dr. Kelly doesn't put in a cath! Sucks about a drain but I know most surgeries will have a drain afterward : / How long is the drain left in after surgery, do they remove it before you leave the hospital to go to the hotel?

For anyone who is going to Mexico, what surgeon are you going with and post when you will be there!

Where is everyone from…. I'm in Northern Colorado.

Oh and I will be going to TJ…so anyone there… I will be there the 10th-13th.
