Wow, I just logged in for my last preop post before my surgery tomorrow and saw the news about lifesaveremt, so sad and scary! My thoughts and prayers go to his loved ones...

Nice. I agree. I'm.in day 5 of my liquid diet' date=' and it's going well. I've had a bit of head hunger. Also working through different brands of protein shakes. Found one I love and one that is just nasty.

I'll have an updated list later tonight with the new entries.[/quote']

My date is March 21 in michigan

Good luck birdie0518! You in my thoughts and prayers! Good luck and prayerd to all of our Sleevers having surgery today!!

Best wishes to all the sleevers today!

Speedy recovery!

Lifesaveremt: I'm sorry to hear you were taken from us. Please be an angel watching over from above. Looking after your family and your fellow sleevers.

Does anyone know how soon after the operation lifesaveremt had his clot and passed away? I have been in shock since last night when I read the news :( I know you're at increased risk of clots about a month post surgery...so don't forget to walk people! If you work in an office (or anywhere you have to sit long periods) make sure to clench calves and pump your feet to keep the blood going!

RIP lifesaveremt, prayers to all your loved ones. This has completely freaked me out as well. My brother had clots in his thighs & lungs almost exactly 1 month after his knee surgery & my mother has phlebitis. Scares the heebygeebies outta me. In wonder if I should just call my docs office in a few weeks and tell them to scan me, l. I'm so not passed doing that! Prayers to everyone!

My prayers are with his loved ones. I haven't learned anything about how far out he was. It really has me scared. My surgeon puts all of his patients on blood thinners. Is anyone else going to be put on blood thinners?

Well his surgery was Feb 27 and according to ppl who grew close to him he passed on the 11th....I'm not 100% sure and would hate to post inaccurate information out of respect for him and his loved ones. I'm only mentioning it because he was and is a brother to GST. We need to keep his memory alive.
