  1. Hey Eboni sista, it's been a while. Girl you look amazing and refreshed. Working that sleeve x10.
  2. I was sleeved on March 19th, as of today down 29lbs. I'm doing well although I have to force myself to eat a bite of anything, eating is definately a chore and my sleeve has totally taken away any hunger. I drinnk two premeir shakes daily (30g) per serving. I still eat jello and pop cycles. I was suppose to be eating soft reg foods...I just don't feel like it. My energy level is through the roof...I plan on intorducing my stomach to reg foods sometime this week. Like everyone else I'm on a mission to looking, feeling achieving greatness. I look forward to hearing and sharing more stories with all my fellow Westside family.... Stay positive and active my BariatricBeauties/Studs.
  3. Love the Wood....no more BoBo's
  4. Luckysmomma girl don't let anybody steal your shine.
  5. I have no regrets at this point. I absolutely miss food in the worst way, but the fact remains that my sleeve could care less what my brain misses. It was not an easy decision at all,but going to Knotts Berry Farm and not being able to get on a ride with my 4 year old because of my obesity made my decision the right decision. I'm sorry she felt attacked for being honest, that's just not ok. Honey at the end of the da this is your journey....so let your haters make you stronger. With every dig I get from someone who has an issue with me I encourage them to KIM (keep it moving).
  6. Still no response from VST adminastrator....... Why do I need a password to login to African American Sleevers....is this closed off?
  7. Get it girl...your looking fabulous.
  8. Well 4 weeks off for me, I'm a licensed psychiatric technician.....working California State Mental Hospital is a roller coaster ride daily...high risk of being assualted so I need to be as close to healed as possible before returning.
  9. Congrats on the approval....it's a feeling that many of us have related at some point or another. So with that being said...let your awesome new journey begin : )
  10. Awesome ... my pcp is also downey Orchard clinic...and they Do make it very clear that cosmetic surgery is elective and they DONOT cover it. However they do cover a panni and require a papertrail of problems related to excess stomach skin. Thank you for sharing give hope for my future....also how long was your recovery time?
  11. Best wishes...keep me posted.
  12. Hey ryanne congrats on making it into the Options program. I did mine in Downey.....Options is a wonderful lifelong tool and resource for us sleevers. I completed Options on January 30th and was sleeved March 19th. So they move you along pretty fast...so get ready to be super informed and congrats on your decision to change your life.
  13. I was sleeved on the 19th and I get stronger everyday. I have no trouble with the protein (premier protein). I was moved up to purees on the 29th however I'm in no rush because I have no desire to chew. My next weigh in won't be until Tuesday. Still soreness to my incision where my stomach was removed but tolerable. At night I will take the liquid vicodin to ensure a good nights rest. Overall I'm a work in progress as we all are. I feel good and confident that the March 2013 sleevers will continue on a safe and healthy journey...oh can't wait to get back to zumba....hopefully in another 2 weeks.
  14. I'm using natural organic shae butter per my normal moisturizer and Maderma. I used Merderma in yhe past on a 6" surgery scar on my ankle which is now barely visible without a close up look.
  15. I'm with you all. My stomach has been looking like balled up homework for 10 years....
  16. Alrite, Alrite, Alrite...congrats, glad your doing well. Another BariatricBeauty doing what's right for herself will always have my support.
  17. Hey JROD, hope your feeling well and high spirited.....welcome to the postop side...best wishes
