I am on Day 9 of Pre Op diet, I still get hungry and it is still hard. I think it is both physical and mental. The not chewing part is weird to me. I guess because I am so used to chewing it feels weird not to chew. I feel different. I think your body goes into some sort of weird place after 9 days of no real food:). My job is ordering BBQ take out today since it's payday. I'm usually the first one to place an order and when I declined, people asked was I OK? LOL. Little do they know!!! Went to Pre-op appt yesterday lost 7 lbs in a week. March 13 can't come soon enough. I also get gas easier now. I have heard ppl are very gasey after being sleeved. Do you think the pre-op diet has anything to do with the gas? Good luck to everyone being sleeved today and speedy recovery to all March sleevers!!

I just found out I have to be at the hospital at 6 am tomorrow! I'm the first case, and surgery is at 7:30! WOW!

Good luck! It's nice to be first. Best wishes for a complication-free surgery and quick recovery!

Im not on a liquid diet, its just high Protein low carbs. I cheated ONE time a few days ago but I had lost since then and it was VERY small amount. I decided for these last few days I am just going to do clear liquid and hope it gets me where I need to be by Tuesday.

I'm on a liquid diet (600 - 800 cal and 80 grams protein and I've lost 5 pounds in a week but hit a stall as well. Its so frustrating that you aren't eating and STILL not loosing. Good luck to you.

I think a lot of the protein powders lack Fiber so that may be why the stall. I add my Body by Vi weight management powder in with my other Protein Powder to give it the missing fiber in addition to adding a little bit more protein to the shake. I've lost 5 lbs since Wed. Oh and got my PCP to scribe me Xanax b/c I'm a nervous wreck! Tuesday can't come soon enough! Think i'll go fake bake...lol...it's 50 in Fla today. A tan always makes me feel better! Hugs & prayers to everyone going through this new journey!

Just a suggestion to the pre op liquid dieters... my nut told me I could chew sugar free gum (no swallowing).

what does the pain feel like? ... c section ..gall bladder remove al?

I had a c section 3 years ago a full hysterectomy a year ago and this pain is just different and it isn't as bad at al!!!!!! And this coming from a complete baby!!!! My pain was intense but I think I was all gas pain. Something I didn't have with other surgeries. Also my nurse was not on top of getting my pain meds. I should have been every 6 hours and I was lucky to get them every 7-8. Good luck

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
