Thank you so much!! Its was an Awesome decision for me. I lost my 19 year old sister in an automobile accident 3 years ago and really packed the weight on. I am happy and she would be very happy for me also. Good Luck to you!!

I would do it again! I've lost 28lbs since sleeved 11/16. That's the most I've lost in the past 7 years& I'm under 200lbs for the 1st time in 8 yrs. those are major victory for me. I had internal bleeding, fell, ruptured a lap site& lost half my blood. Big whoop. That's a relatively small complications ( take it from me the surgical nurse). I feel fantastic. Even though I did not have the optimal experience everyone else described, I didn't lose 40lbs in a month. I still have to work for it, but I would never have kept these pounds off or had Portion Control or satiety without the surgery.

Absolutely I would, no questions asked. I have zero regrets, other than not doing it sooner. I actually was going to do it this time last year and I chickened out and decided I needed more time to think about it. I wish I hadn't have waited but I'm so glad I finally did it.

The hardest thing for me has been the head hunger. The sleeve fixes your tummy, but it does not fix your head and that to me has been the absolute hardest part of this and something I know I will always have to work at.

Yes I can it was not negative just what does not listen to so many other people and compare myself to them everybody is different and also I had to realize that I was addicted to food not that I didn't know I had a problem but I didn't know how serious it was

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
