All of my December sleevers...

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! My 1 year Surgiversary was yesterday! I'm down 76 pounds! From 227 to 151. I'm 1 pound from my Doctors goal and 11 from my own. More importantly, I'm on half of the blood pressure medicine I was on and will probably soon be on none, I only take one med for my asthma when I used to take three, my oxygen rate is wonderful now and my overall health has astonished my primary care physician. I'm so happy with my sleeve!

Congrats! So happy for ya! Glad everything is going great! Keep up the good work!

Hello everyone, I had my surgery 12-21-2012. I have reached passed my goal by 2 pounds. For the month of November I lost 6 pounds and 1 inch off my waist. I've lost 134 pounds total and am not sure when the weight stop dropping? This month and last month I didn't exercise and still lost 6 in November and 8 in October. I'm 5'7 anybody here around that height? what is your goal weight?

I am also 5'7 I started at 296 pounds ,normal BMI was 159.... My Doc goal was 147....today I am at 142.6...my anniversary will be Dec 26, 2013

Size 6 curvy jeans extra small top....love it :) I eat close to 1200-1300 calories ....I am slowly trying to raise it so I don't get to skin (never thought I would say that)...I do find just over the last month and a half I can eat things ( in moderation) that I would not have done before....

I am having surgery in December. I am very scared of the malnutrition part of it. I am a nurse and probably just paranoid. I have read a lot of post. Wondering about the stomach spasms I read about. How long they last and how painful they are? I also wondered about if anyone having problems getting to thin and cant keep there weight stable. Is the restriction hard to get use to ? Really nervous. Please respond if you have insight to these questions. Thanks

best thing I ever did...no problems

Sleeved one year ago today. Down 110 pounds and loving life! Went through old pictures last night and can't believe the transformation. No regrets, no complications. Maintenance is a little harder than I thought as I find out habits sneaking up on me. My biggest regain has been 5 pounds after two weeks of gorging on Christmas baking so now I am back to basics, Protein first and back to tracking. Congrats to everyone for their successes this past year.

I was sleeved a week ago on 12/03, and I feel great. I'm having no trouble taking in all of my Water and Protein. I've also not had any stomach spasms, but my surgeon recommended Benadryl if I do. He said it sounds weird, but they've found that it works, and it doesn't interact with any of the other meds you go home on. I haven't had to use it, but interesting information I thought.

1 year post op today. Down -105lbs. I'm currently hovering around 160lbs. I was able to get down to 155lbs, but it was hard to maintain. I'd like to lose another 10-15lbs....but we'll see.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
