Puglet...I would think you could increase your diet...I had my surgery on Aug 15 and 6 weeks later had my first till...during that time I increased to ground moist meat...ground turkey works well, and mash potatoes, and soft veggies....than after my first fill (only fill so far) I was on clear liquid that day and after that to soft foods and now ...pretty much what I like with in reason,,,no noodles or bread...I think you have to go by trial and error..just take it slow...

My docs say one day of liquids after a fill, then on to soft and regular foods in the next two days. A fill at 24 days out is pretty early; maybe they want you on the post-op diet because you're still pretty close to post-op, still.

I just had my first fill on Oct 25th (surgery date 9/11/06). 1cc in a 4cc band. I am not having difficulty eating anything...not feeling much restriction either.

Matter of fact I was able to eat a 6 oz steak, some noodles, and corn for dinner tonight......I shouldn't be able to eat that much. I have a follow up

visit on Nov 8th so I may need an additional fill. Is this normal??

I hear other people talking about not being able to eat much after a fill and I wonder if I'm doing something wrong :cry

Thanks you for any comments or suggestions!

Hi Puglet,

I had my first fill 4 weeks after banded. I was on full liquid for two days and soft diet for 2 days. Now I'm eating solids (protein).

Good luck to you.

Hello- I am new to the forum. Banded 9-22 by Dr. Martinez. I had my first fill on 11-3, 1.3cc. I am not having any restriction. I'm exercising like crazy to try and get the weight off. I am considering going to Dr. Curry in OH. as I don't feel that I got the proper fill in Mexico. Has anyone had any experience with Dr. Curry? Just concerned since I didn't get the proper fill under Fluro will I get it with out??

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
