Nature valley protein bars............they are delish! I also make peanut butter choc protein powder balls...........then freeze them, what a treat!

I do Powerbars- I like the chocolate/peanut butter ones. The sugar is bit high, but they do make a low sugar version if you can find it.

Think thin bars. :)

Bariwise Protein bars. Both the regular and the crunchy ones. Love them!! I keep a box at home, a box in my desk at work and 2 bars in my purse at all times.

They come in variety packs which I love. Feels like I'm cheating!

I now have a ready stash of quest bars. You can order online or get them at gnc. They don't melt, and can replace a meal. Takes forever to chew them. High protein low carbs and sugar. I have the automatically delivered to my home.

Kim, where did you get the recipe for those?

1 cup of Peanut Butter and enought Protein powder to make it a thick consistency, I just keep mixing it in until I an roll them in balls with my hands then place in the freezer.

That sounds good. Ever make that with PB2? It would be way less calories. I may try that.

I like the Quest bars because they have almost no net carbs, which is rare. But you have to warm them up before you eat them or they are too hard. A couple of hours on the dashboard or 15 seconds in the microwave will do the trick. But if you put them in the microwave be sure to take them out of the wrapper first or you will get quite a light show. Don't ask me how I know.

I use the Premier Protein bars. They sell then at Sams, Costco and I recently saw them in Walmart. 30g per bar. They sell the shakes too with the same amount of protein.

I love the Quest chocolate Brownie bars from GNC, when you microwave them they taste just like a brownie from the oven, and just like Butterbean said, please take the wrapper off first!

I vote for Quest bars as well - the apple pie one is wonderful, warmed for a few seconds in the microwave. With a squirt of sugar free whipped cream it's a decadent dessert I can feel great about!

I also like that they don't melt or crumble, so they're a good choice when I'm on a long strenuous hike.

I've ordered them through Amazon or GNC.com a couple of times but I don't recommend it - I've gotten some stale boxes, and then they REALLY need to be microwaved! My local GNC has started carrying them as well, which I really appreciate.

Has anyone tried the new banana nut flavor?

You can order quest bars directly from quest.com. I am signed up for automatic shipments every other month. I don't run out that way, and have never had an issue with them not being fresh. You can change up your order any time you want.
