I started my journey on June 18, 2012 at 334.9 lbs, I was a very sad and sick woman who was not living, just existing. Well fast forward 6 months and I weigh 233 lbs (101 lbs), everything about my life has changed! I am loving my new life, enjoying my new body (so is my husband, he's like a kid on Christmas morning - every day!) and I love it! Thank you to Dr. King in Oxford, Mississippi, your my hero! The pictures below speak for themselves, the first two are before and are the most I ever weighed, the first one is the saddest I was ever in my life! I was sleeved June 18, 2012, my pre op weight was 334.9 and my current weight is 199, that's 135.9 lbs lost! My daughter watched me lose and got so depressed that I was truly worried about her, her insurance would not pay for the surgery, she fought them for a year and finally last November she was sleeved, her insurance does not pay for any weight loss surgery so after a year long fight a with help from our great family Dr, her insurance is using her case as a guinea pig to see if it will be worth paying for this surgery for others! I'm 2 yrs post op and I have not one regret! How could I regret anything that helped me lose 135 lbs!

Thanks Cherbear33, it has been an amazing journey and I'm so glad that I finally got to watch my daughter go through all of the emotions that come with the weight just falling off! We are both way happier and healthier than we have been in a long time!

Me and my daughter have just now gotten to share in this journey, my surgery was June 18, 2012, starting weight 334.9 lbs current weight 199 lbs, that's almost 136 lab lost, my daughter had her surgery in Nov 2013, she is down 70 lbs, I'm so proud of her that I could cry! Before After

When I was sleeved 15 months ago the last thing I wanted to do was be in my sons wedding on a beach in Florida, well the wedding was this past Saturday and I am so happy with my pictures, I never thought I could look like this! Yes your life will change, before surgery I never even used the heater in my car and as soon as my husband left for work in the morning I would turn the heat off! I didn't even own a winter coat, fast forward 15 months and 133 lbs, I now own many coats, Ugg boots, gloves and scarves, and I now have to sleep in flannel pjs. I had my surgery 15 months ago and I have lost 133 lbs, we are building our dream home, a log cabin and I was climbing the ladder (something that I couldn't do before at 334 lbs) to look in the loft and my husband took this photo, sometimes I still can't believe it's me, the first pic is on surgery day. I went to my Drs office today so they could take a new pic for their ad in our local paper, I'm so amazed that its me in the pic, my brain still says "you can't be that size, you have never been that size" I will post the ad when it runs in the paper.
