If you can't keep anything down - GET THEE to the DR!! You're either overfilled or swollen due to possible esophagitis. Can you keep liquids down at all?? The most important thing is to NOT become dehydrated. No weight loss is worth messing up your band or your esophagus and just in case you haven't heard; the closer you get to goal, the slower the weight loss WILL be. You're doing great, don't borrow trouble. Get a slight unfill. Please..

Hey there.. i had a similar prob, my band has been a lil too tight for some time.. i was getting enough food in but it took lots of tries and purges, i havent had a fill for 6 months, but suddenly... it closed off, and i wasnt able to get a sip of Water or anything down for more then a couple seconds. 10 days.. no drink, no food... i was malnourished and dropped 16lbs. Finally went this morning to get an Upper GI, in fear of a band slip, but no my stomach had just been squeezed for too long and swelled closing over my band. They took out just 1 cc and much relief... i can eat and drink perfectly find, you have to keep tweeking your band until you find that sweet spot... you arent being pain.. its the docs job :girl_hug:

hello girls, well i had a bit of a scare last nite where i woke up actually vomiting!!not a good thing, it was scary!! so i decided after that not to wait a bit more and ring my Dr. , Dr Nottle. I went in to see him first thing this morning,he says the band has most likely slipped. tomorrow i go and get xrays, and then i see him on monday to see the verdict, he said that most likely he will fix it for me on tuesday, i said to him the sooner the better!!! is this a scary thing? i admit i cried when i left the doctors because i am bit scared and worried about the whole thing now, i do not regret getting the band at all though, has anyone had their band slip or know of anyone? what happens,is it scary?

thats not good to hear if you have slipped. I have woken during the night and vomited before, but that must have been because i ate to late at night.

I hope its all ok

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
