My husband is an ass

Recommended Posts

It depends what you consider normal. My husband is 5'10' date=' 185 pounds and all muscle. He eats portions that are not much bigger than mine. He has the capability to pig out and does on occasion, but for the most part he eats sparingly. He surprisingly doesn't eat junk food or sugary things. It's not because he watches it. He just doesn't like the stuff.

His normal is something to aspire to.[/quote']

Agree but I doubt most consider him normal...

I guess the meanings of words like 'normal' and 'average' become blurred when we live in the western world where most people are overweight or obese.

It sounds like Catracks husband eats how people SHOULD eat. Weather it's common, average or normal for me is pretty irrelevant.

I'm more concerned about how I should eat, not how others are eating (including friends and family), not how the population eat (most of us are fat) and I certainly don't want to be average! ;):)

Personally, I think you should just divorce him... that low down ass :)

I get that you, like EVERYBODY Else on this forum has challenges with eating habits. And its nice to have a place with understanding people who do not judge you while you vent (even if you say things that you dont mean). Im sure that you love your husband and he didnt mean to rub it in. :)

Maybe next time for the sake of all the opinions on how you should feel you should just call him a "hole" lol.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
