thanks guy' date=' needed that! now that i am back to myself, time to fight! monday i will be able to plea my case before the advocate, hopefully they can squeeze me in before the doc goes on his christmas vacation. if not, wipe the dust off my feet and move quickly on to the next reputable doc that can see me before the 31st.

Unfortunatly it's a totally different ins company, so no hope of it being honored.

Good thing i'm in Houston, so i have lots of choices - just gotta find the right one quickly.

BTW - i went to my car and had a small pitty party :( , but i'm ready to move forward i got till 12-31 to make it happen kaptain [/quote']

I went to one doctor and was going to have a $3800 out of pocket expense... I switch doctor..mmmyoi should switch don't take the chance of not being covered.

WELL... as of this morning I was able to secure a December date with another doctor (Sheilendra Suresh Mehta, M.D.) he works with now my old doctor (Erik B. Wilson, M.D.). As a matter of fact I met him before I met with Dr. Wilson – what a strange twist of fate. Now I just need to steady my nerves and take it one day at a time. I know God is in control and everything works just the way He planned, not as I planned...

THANKS FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUGGESTIONS, YOU GUYS ROCK

I had the same issue. I am changing the insurance providers in Jan. I had my initial appointment with the surgeon 11/19 and explained my situation and he said I should be able to get everything done to get it completed before the end of the year. I had to make numerous call backs to make sure everything was moving along, but I now have a date for 12/17 and I will just have to worry about follow up appointment coverae and prescriptions, but I should be fine:-)I wish you luck! Talk to you doctor though and let him know your situation. You'd be suprised how much they will try and help you.

Well I was sleeved on 12/28 @ 7:30am.

The procedure it self appears to have gone well. But I cannot keep any liquids down, every time I take a sip of anything I feel it bubbling around in my chest & tummy area - eventual end up throwing it up. So now I'm back to nothing but the iv only. My nurse said I may be here another day cause they can't release me till they know I can keep down the liquids.

I still have not passed gas, but I've been burping all over the place. I take a walk after I use the restroom, hoping to get the air moving.

Please keep me in your prayers

I the same problem. My new tummy was so swollen I couldn't get anything down and I failed my leak test bc of it. I was sleeved on a Monday leak test Tuesday morning then had to stay until Thursday which they then repeated the leak test and even though better it was still moving through slowly. Every day does gets better you were just sleeved 2 days ago. Days 2 & 3 were the absolute worst for me.

Try to stay positive and get walking if you haven't yet it does make a difference. I was burping right out of surgery and was very nauseated. Then passing gas for me didn't start until Thursday 3 days postop. So be patient. It will happen. I asked my nurses for those little sponges. I dipped them in Water and would suck that. Hope you feel better.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
