Pre Op this morning

Had my preop this morning. My upper GI looked good, and I am waiting for lab results. Everyone keeps asking me, "are you excited?". My answer is that I am back and forth between nervous and excited. I am excited that my future is about to change and at the same time, I am paying someone to cut my stomach out...what the hell is wrong with me??!! My biggest fear is anesthesia, complications and getting enough protein/water.
