I am 5 months out as of yesterday....for the last 2 weeks I have had a hard time eating. No matter how slow or small amount I eat I experience pain so I don't want to eat. Not terrible, just enough that I feel uncomfortable for a few minutes but enough that it makes me not want to eat. I thought it was because I had a cold at first. But now that I have been better for over a week...the problem persists.

Also, nothing is appetizing. I eat because I have to....but nothing appeals to me at all. Yes, I know that may be a good thing LOL!!!! My weight loss has been steady though somewhat slower than others (down 63 lbs.). I was just wondering if this is normal. I have had no issues up until now. Even from day one no problems at all so I wasn't sure I should be that concerned.

Thanks so much!

Sorry you are struggling. I would call your surgeon and discuss so you can ensure you are not having a serious issue.

Keep us posted and I hope this passes quickly.

I agree I would call my Doctor. I am 5 months out as well. I have had a slow weight loss. I am like you I never had any problems at all. I got sick this past week, caught some virus. However my appetite never changed. Let us know what you find out.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
