Has anybody that are in their middle age that has had or schedule for this surgery

Im 44 and getting surgery on the 17th woot woot

Tons of middle aged and even older folks. Look in the forums, where you'll see special groups for folks of all ages. I'm pushing 60, was sleeved in March 2012 and am just a few pounds from goal. Sailed through everything. Lots of others sailed through too!

I am 56 and had my surgery on 11/8. I'm down 24 pounds and feeling GREAT!

Had my surgery in June, at 51...Doing great, no problems.

I was 49 and am now 51, will be two years post-op in a few days, 12/6.

Thanks so much for your replays... It means so much for me! I am hoping to have surgery in January 2013.. Going for heart stress tomorrow

I'll be 50 and had surgery in June, I have lupus and had diabetes and a lot of other issues and I did it and don't regret it!

I am 49, and my insurance has approved me!!!! I am just waiting for my surgery date, they said they would call, just getting impatient I guess. I think there are a lot of middle age people on this web-site. Good Luck to you!!

I'm 48 and hoping to be sleeve by March at close to 49. By 50 oh yea is my time to get close to the sexy body i want. Lol

At least get healthier. This one is for me. So treat your self you deserve it.

I'm doing fine, never made it to the "goal" weight I had chosen and since decided that it was unrealistic. I went from 275#+ (not sure how much I weighed exactly as I dreaded the scale, still do actually) . I got down to about 200# and my weight fluctuates between 200 and 205. I carry a lot more muscle then I used too, I swim and bike a lot now.

It was the single best thing I have ever done for my health EVER.

40 years old an I'm going for surgery in March! I've been fat since birth... I was 200 at 14, 230 at 18 and 280 at 25..... My Highest weight ever was 360!

Yea I agree. I can't wait to be sleeved. But, i m still a young 48. Want to better. Oh sleeve me! Lol
