I was sleeved 11/28- had a Rough first week fighting a stomach bug but week 2 was a breeze. I was able to tolerate soft foods if I chewed them ALOT and ate slow. I go all day Christmas shopping and never get tired. So now going into wk 3 I'm down 15 lbs from surgery but feel Guilty for not starting exercising yet? My doc said 4 wks but I feel fine- I know I can be walking( doing that anyway at the mall) but I feel like I should be starting an exercise routine now. What's everyone else doing?

Hi all

I was sleeved nov 18' date=' down 21 pounds I am wondering is it ok to wear a guirdel to support the big belly from hanging down or is to too early yet[/quote']

This lifestyle go with how u feel once ur comfortable with wearing ur girdle which is great!!! Then it's nt to early actually a friend told me to wrap my stop in the plastic wrap. It helps firm ur tummy and sweat of fat.

I was sleeved Dec 5 and a have lost about 18 lbs, which includes the week long pre op diet. I am happy with the weight loss so far and really have not had any major complications. I am still having a hard time incorporating puréed foods into my diet allowing for the necessary liqiuds and Protein but I will keep trying! I have been told by others who went thru the same procedure that protein, liquids and making sure to get all the Vitamins is really the key to making all this work.

I don't think then shots of Protein are necessary because you seem to be getting enough with your meals. I don't know if that would cause the stall though.

I was sleeved on 11/5 & I was in the same boat. I was in a stall when I started solid foods.one thing that helped me was I drank 100 oz of Water everyday. It was sooo hard to do but I dropped 5lbs that week. Feeling water logged was worth it!

Mine was the same day and I have been at a stall for a while I do seem to be loosing inches at least

Yep, I am indeed a revision. Of course I lost the band 5 years ago from erosion but I do indeed know the issues with the Lap Band. Glad I finally got the sleeve! Congrats on your revision.

Sleeved nov 16th. Had some internal bleeding & need multiple blood transfusions& had to take Iron post-op(-->constant abdominal pain& burning from iron).

Highest wt 245, day of surgery 226lbs. Now at 205lbs. Starting period. I had a 2 wk stall at 210 then was able to drink more& went from 500 cal to 650 to get body out of starvation mode. Walk 30 min a day. I'm a slow loser, but at least I got some wt off.

B- Egg or string cheese or Protein Bar

L- tuna or chicken salad

D- whatever I make for the fan (I only eat the Protein portion).

Snacks- hummus or laughing cow cheese.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
