How is the pain if u don't mind me asking

MzRobin its not bad at all! Just sore like you did a ton of sit ups and maybe pulled a muscle on one side (biggest incision and where they take out the stomach part) I fell asleep for 3 hrs and woke up in extreme pain but that was really it. Otherwise its been so smooth

That's good I'm not scared of the pain I'm just trying to gage it against the csections I've had

I too had a c sect. While I was in recovery was the worst! Took about 2 hours to get the pain under control. I think c sect was worse than this. I thought my insides were going to fall out with the section lol

Omg I'm freakin out about the damn drain as it is my date is this Tuesday. I'm calling my doc to find out how long I have to keep it. Gah!

I was freaking out too.. So I called my surgeon, and they told me that they don't use a drain tube. YEA!

I had my surgery on Feb 6. I've lost a total of 26 pounds since my 2 week liquid diet started. I did not have a drain. But I will say that i have had and still have pain. It is manageable but still there.

My worst problem that I am facing right now is the diet. I can't seem to eat what the dr wants me to. It goes right through me. :(

I was sleeved early 2/12. I spent the first 48 hours dry heaving. Not pleasant. I was terrified I was going to rip something open, but my leak test was negative. I stayed in the hospital an extra day to get control of the nausea. I got home late yesterday afternoon and have been fine. I'm able to take in liquids with no problem. Nothing sounds good to me tho. I still have gas pain, but other than my belly being tender, I don't have any pain at all. I have not taken any narcotic pain meds since day before yesterday. I took Tylenol last night since it was my first night in my own bed. I slept okay. I do have pretty bad heartburn which they say is normal. I started taking my Pepsid and hopefully that will help over the next couple of days. IF I continue to do well today with the Clear Liquids, I'm going to add another liquid to the mix. I feel I need some calories, I feel pretty tired and weak. Unfortunately everything seems to be going right through. At least I'm not constipated I guess. I've lost 10 pounds in a week which includes my time on pre-op diet. I walked quite a bit today and am now exhausted. Going to rest for a while. Hope you all continue to feel better.

Well not to brag but everyone is calling me a rock star! 30 hours after surgery and I am ready to go. Just waiting on a ride. I have had no issues with nausea or tolerating liquids or meds. I get to start puree tomorrow.

I thought I would share

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
