Doing good!!! Down about 15 pounds and was advanced to full liquids today. I had my first post surgery Protein shake today as well. It was good. It was chocolate mint. I mixes it with milk and got full after like 2 sips' date=' so it took me a few hours to drink.

Today is also the first day I've gone without any pain meds. I'm still a little sore, but it's tolerable. 99% of the gas is gone too, so no more shoulder pain. Yay!!! I can sleep in bed again lol.

How is everyone else?[/quote']

Doing great...glad to know :)

I had mine on the 14th. Discharged on the 16th.

They started me out with morphine during the hospital stay, last day they gave me dilaudid intravenously (that was WAY better). Sent me home with vicodin (in liquid form), can take every 4 hours. It helps me move around more.

Laid up on the couch for the first couple of days, then hubby kicked me out. CPAP was harder to tolerate lying in the bed on my back.

I sorta get tired of Protein shakes and Soup, but I invent ways to make it interesting. I’m drinking the Jay Robb whey Protein; I got the vanilla and the chocolate. Today I put cinnamon in the vanilla and used Mootopia lactose-free fat-free milk because it has 12 grams of Protein (I mentioned that in another post). It tasted really good, like horchata!

With the Soups, I mostly buy the ones in the bags and boxes, and I’m allowed to use hot sauce.

Still can’t wait till my 2-week post-op appointment, though. Need some meat, doesn’t matter if it’s pureed!

I'm also on the 14th. Doing a lot better! A lot of the pain is gone but still some pain on the left side and in the dent. A lot of that pulling feeling has stopped thankfully. I unfortunately have diarrhea now which is really a pain in the butt but I'm sure because all i can eat is liquids i didn't expect solid poop lol. I'm on full liquids now until Tuesday when I go in for my two week checkup and they'll advance me to mushies!! I so can't wait! It's kind of torture being on Full liquids during Thanksgiving lol.

I'm totally grossed out by sweet things thought :( the thought of the Protein shakes makes me ill so it's been rough to get in Protein. Also been a little rough to get all the liquids

I start soft foods next Tuesday too, not bored of shakes since I started them yesterday. And I also mix inflavored Protein in my Campbell's Cream of chicken etc Soup and put it my Magic Bullet. I had Solid Poop size of a meatball and diarrhea yesterday. Lol.

I tried something tonight for a little extra Protein because the shakes are just revolting to me. I haven't even been drinking them that long ugh

Anyway I read this on here and it was a great idea!

1/4 cup of Greek yogurt

1/4 cup of FF milk

Squirt of MIO. I used orange tangerine.

And OMG it was good, tolerable and tasted like an orange creamcicle! It was 7 grams of Protein I believe. Not bad!

I made the best smoothie last night and it had 30+ grams of protein!

1/2 cup vanilla Greek Yogurt

1/2 cup FF milk

1 cup of frozen Dole pineapple, Mango pieces

1 scoop of Protein powder (vanilla flavored)

1 package sweet n low

Throw all in a blender and blend on high for 1 minute. Add more milk if you like a runnier smoothie.

It was so delicious and a great way to get that awful Protein Powder down.

Sounds good...will try. Doesn't that make about 2 cups? You drink it throughout the day right?

I was thinking of also going to the food section where they sell frozen fruit pulp to make shakes. I use to have them as a snack on hot summer days.

I ordered a new scale from Amazon this week because the scale I have is old and weird, plus only went to 330 and I wanted to know what I was NOW lol. It came today. I got on and OMG! 339!!!! 20lbs since surgery!!! In 1 week!! Is this even possible??? I'm freaking out and I cried lol I haven't seen a number in the 330's since 2008 and all I've done is try for 4 years to get back there (that was my usual 'comfort zone weight back then) and in ONE WEEK with VSG I'm there!!! I can't believe this!! Just what I needed the day before thanksgiving because I was starting to feel sorry for myself not being able to eat. 40lbs down including pre op!

Wow! Congratulations! Very impressive! I was sleeved on Nov. 14th and have been doing fairly well overall. Had severe nausea the first day or so but stopped pain killers 3 days post-op and no real pain except for the constant diarrhea and more tired than usual. Does it every get better? I am on full liquids for at least another week. So wish I could eat pureed foods now!

I am on full liquids as well, at least for another week. I'm sure it gets better!! It has too! I have been CRAZY with hormones the last couple of days. My husband is such a trooper. I have not been nice to him at all and he's still here. I started Protein shakes today and they are horrible. Luckily for me I am able to take fairly big drinks without any pain, so I can get them down quick. I have also been having the crazy diarrhea. I keep telling myself liquid in, liquid out. I hope it does get better for you. Remember, you're on a journey, enjoy the ride :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
