Hello my lovelies! I survived lol. Had my revision surgery from gastric lap band to sleeve this morning. Won't lie' date=' was much worse then the banding lol, but that's to be expected considering they had to fix the mess Dr Felix Speigel made me 5yrs ago and then sleeve me. I woke in the recovery room screaming and pleading for pain medicine and anti Nausea meds, bedding to throw up and for Water or ice to so so. Needless to saw never got water Didn't throw up and once then for me stable from screaming and crying at them I was put in my room around 1pm. Since them am feeling much better. Feel like I just did a marathon, 10000000000000 sit ups and twists lol and got a new BFF

Hahahaha my pain med button. Still no ice or water but have a thing to swab a little water across my tongue and lips They should be taking me for a walk at 7pm[/quote']

Congrats to you!

Had my stress test today... Rocked it. Got confirmed for 8:30 on the 26th, pro opp on the 18th. Had a stressful emotional moment today (unrelated to surgery), and all I wanted to do was get home and shove food in my face until the feeling went away. Since I was driving at the time, I took the moment to reflect on how I'm going to handle this trigger after surgery. Didn't come up with any kind of game plan, but I liked that I identified the emotion so strongly tied to food, and knew it had nothing to do with hunger. It will be a challenge. A real behavioral change for me. Don't take me wrong, I still went through with it ( the eating, that is) but there was a moment I separated it all and I felt good about that. Maybe that I could address it more straight on in the future. Pretty soon, I won't have a choice about it, and to that I am looking forward!

You will always have a choice about it. You can choose to back to unhealthy eating habits and gain the weight back or you can choose to be a success, choose healthy food and choose to stay healthy the rest of your life. You deserve to live life to it's fullest. And that doesn't mean stomach! What I am noticing is that even , though I am sleeping a lot, I have a lot of time on my hands that normally would be consumed with, planning, shopping, making, and eating food. Spend this time wisely be your cheerleader that you want to be healthy, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. YOU CAN DO IT.

--------------------MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES------------------------------

Lost 10 pounds since the 6th.

I am still umcomfortable but for other reasons. I am now allergic to the glue they used for my stitches. Trying to deal with that.

I also had the thigh nerve numbness from being obese, the Doctor said it will go away but in the meantime, It has stepped up to hypersensitivity and I am being electrocuted everytime Anything touches my thigh. ARGH.

Good luck everyone coming up. We are not hearing back from too many post ops yet.

Post op day 3. Things I am grateful for: pain meds, recliner, heating pad. But mostly- my wonderful family & friends. Shew... My head is spinning from the meds & belly feels like popping from air. Wish me luck!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
