Bouts Of Grouchy

Recommended Posts

I am almost 3 months out and I have these bad bouts with feeling grouchy! Grrrrr!!! Does anyone else feel this way? I assumed that it was all of this excess estrogen swimming around from losing weight!

I fight that some days too, I was sleeved on 8/02. I have a very low tolerance for stupidity. When you work with your close family (husband and son) that makes some days very hard!

Yes! I think I now have turrets because it seems I have no filter when I get like that! I thought it was just me! I wonder what is causing this?

I'm not sure what's causing it! I visit my doctor on Wed and I think I'm going to ask about it. I'll let you know.

I would love to know! Thank you!!!!

Hi

When I low carbed before the sleeve I had that too.

Now after the sleeve, when I drink Protein shakes I seem to feel extremely irritable.I think, for me anyway, it is high Protein intake that does it.I now try to spread the protein intake evenly over the day and that really helps. My family can immediately tell when I have upped my protein from 65 to 85g as I am really grumpy then.I've also started trying to increase my veggies for some produce carbs but it seems like a losing battle as then I go too low in protein again.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
