Anyone Having Surgery Next Week In Tj?

Recommended Posts

Just curious if anyone is having surgery the week of November 5-9 in TJ. I was supposed to have surgery today but had to reschedule for next Thursday the 8th

I am here now. Me and my best friend flew in from Louisiana to San Diego and are now in TJ we are having surgery in less than 3hrs. Very excited to be here excellent care and amazing doctors who have also had the surgery. This makes me feel more at ease. So excited to start this new journey with my best friend and use TJ Dr. Garcia as my doctor.

I'm flying in Tuesday. Surgery on Wednesday......my nerves are going wild!!!!

Don't be nervous. It's one of the easiest things you'll ever do :-) Yep, you'll be sore but it will all be worth it! I am day 3 post surgery and am feeling pretty good. You'll be fine.

I'm having bad diarrhea now and have a long flight home to Montreal on Monday :(. I don't even want to try to squeeze into the tiny airplane bathrooms, ugh!

Oh no! Have you been drinking a lot of sugar free stuff? That'll give you wicked diarrhea! Other than that I hope you feel better. Go to the shop in the airport and buy some Imodium. That'll help. Good luck with that!

Oh goodness. Dont under-estimate a fart. :) sorry...I hope it goes away before your flight.

I looked online and immodium was on the safe list so I took some last night before bed and so far no more problems, although I'm very gurgly in the tummy. I'll probably take some more tomorrow before the flight just to be SAFE. I am kind of in the "screw it" mode right now and I'm wearing yoga pants with a white paint stain on the butt. Comfort over fashion! :) Oh and no sugar free stuff, believe me I know those sugar alcohols wreck havoc :) i've only had some broth, tea and unsweetened apple juice since surgery (and some Water - oh and gatorade but the issues happened before I took a sip of gatorade) Plus some kind of Maalox type thing to coat my healing stomach.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
