I am 7 weeks out and eating between 600 -700 calories a day. I am 5'4 and down to 200 lbs from starting wt of 243. Getting in between 56 and 64 grams of Protein but still struggling with getting all my liquid in. Is my caloric intake ok at this stage?

You and I are close to the same height, but I usually eat under 500 calories a day. You are getting great results so far. Maybe I need to up my calories.

(I also have trouble getting in enough liquids.)

Calorie wise, you are total normal. You should be getting 32-64 oz of water/fluid in a day and Protein Drinks count. I am 8 months out and I get 2-14oz Protein Shakes and 1-22 oz bottle of Water but in the earily days it was more like 2-8oz Protein shakes and 1-8oz bottle of water. Popsicles helped and hot Decaf tea.

Every program is different and your nutritionist should offer guidance but my nutritionist has me on 900-1000 calories a day with a goal of 100 grams of Protein. I hardly ever go over 900, even on days I burn 400-500 exercising. When I went for a check in, I was doing 700 and they said it was too low for me. I am taller and weigh more than you though....and I know that factors into it.

I think your calories are fine for that stage, but you will feel better, more enegetic and be able to be more active if you stay hydrated. That can also prevent some other issues down the road. I would encourage you to focus on getting the fluids in. BTW, Protein drinks can be counted toward your 64 oz a day. I found warm herbal tea to be a lifesaver, easy on the tummy and also counts.

I still struggle with getting enough fluids in and find I do not lose weight as well if I don't get the Water down. Your caloric intake sounds a bit low to me. I eat between 900-1200 and am still losing. How can you possible get your Protein in with 500 calories?

100 calorie Isopure powder Protein shake = 25g Protein

100 calorie muscle milk light shake = 15g protein

90 calorie tuna = 10 g protein

Total 290 calories for 50g protein. My doctor does not want me getting much more than 50g of protein at my height, otherwise it is too hard on my liver and not realistic for my comparable regular food diet protein grams later on. (I do eat more than 290 calories a day, though.)

I am 5'11" and eat about 120 grams protein a day and not much of anything else). Is that too much? I have read in men's fitness that we should be eating 80-100 grams a day. That advise is for regular men. It would seem we should eat more if we are sleeved. Do you agree? I just had blood work about 3 weeks ago (about my 3 month post op mark) and had really good labs. What do you think?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
