Laying here in the hospital feeling fantastic! I was sleeved this morning and have had very minimal pain. This is the beginning of the rest of my life and I am sooooo excited! Now if I could just pee! Lol!

Congrats and welcome to the loser's bench! ;)

Thank you so much I just asked the nurse for dome tea and its going down much better.

Congratulations...wishing you a speedy recovery!!

I got sleeved on Tuesday and having a hard time sipping the Water it's making me nauseous. Please share some tips with me.

I had extreme nausea had to stay in the hospital two extra days because of it. I went home with pills AND a little circle patch I had to put behind my ear. I just want to tell you to hang in there, it finally went away for me after about a week and a half. Be strong.

Congrats! You are a huge inspiration. I will

Keep you in my thoughts for a speedy recovery. I will join you as a sleeve sister in December!

Thanks for all of the kind words! Day 2 has been a little rougher, but still manageable. Started with the barium swallow...Yuck! The long lasting numbing agent that they use at the incision sites wore off this morning and so I was a little sore because of that. My IV infiltrated and there was a student nurse so I got poked a couple of times, but that's fine. They have to learn somehow. I have done about 10 laps around the floor today and have been napping on and off. Other than that, I started my clear liquid diet. It is definitely a weird feeling when liquid hits your stomach! At first it was highly uncomfortable, but now it is just somewhat uncomfortable. I am nervous about the drain removal tomorrow, but after that, I get to go home! I feel like I got the lucky end of the surgery stick! Again, thanks for all of the kind words!

hope you have a speedy recovery :)

I make peppermint tea. Was told it would easy the nausea and it counts towards fluid intake. It seems to be helping

Peppermint tea. See post above. For some reason my phone didn't quote.
