Sorry. Went to look at my records and must have hit send! Lost 11 in pre-op week then only 17 in the month after surgery. I'm now 7.5 weeks out and have lost 37 total. The scale started moving more around week 6 for me

I think in my first month I only lost about 17lbs but my process has been slow due to my birth control so I'm happy if I lose anything lol but now I'm down 63lbs total and I LOVE it!!!

Keep in mind, that currently you are losing approx. 5 lbs/week! When did you ever lose that much (and consistently over such a long period of time) before you had the surgery?

You are doing GREAT. And quite honestly, it's really not a race. The weight will come off if you stick to your surgeon and nutritionist's diet plan. You have to begin exercising once you're completely healed (at least 6 weeks post-op.....consult your MD for exact info).

If you lose too fast you may have excess skin issues that could be avoided with a more gradual decline in your weight. But honestly, you body will do as it decides to do. Stalls are normal and you'll get used to them. It's "catch-up time" for your body and it serves a purpose, even if it frustrates us!

It's great to have a goal(s), but DO NOT stress if you're not hitting every target on schedule. It will happen. And you will be saying goodbye to those numbers on the scale forever!

Keep up the great work everyone!

On 11/12, I'll be one month, so far I've lost 21 lbs.DOS-255.5; yesterday- 11/6-234.5.

Start of Pre-op diet 8/15/12-278. Total loss to date from Pre-op: 43.5.

I'm sure my loss this week won't be as much as it has been, but it's nice to see the scale go down instead of up, like on other programs I've been on!

Are you getting your Protein and Water in? What about (personal...sorry!) bowel movements? I'm having a hard time now at week 4, with the latter and I can feel the excess weight! I had a 1/2 cup of coffee which helped, bur I'm not supposed to have it yet! Desperate tomes call for desperate measures!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
