Anyone Have Low Blood Pressure Or Gallbladder Issues?

Recommended Posts

Hello folks, its been a long time since I have posted.

Everything is going pretty well with me. Literally half the size I once was. Currently weight 117, lost 117 lbs.

Now, the only bad things, I went to my gp and asked him to get my blood tested to make sure my levels are good. He looked over my blood from 6 months ago and said, he didn't think it was necessary my levels for everything were fantastic. I then went on to tell him about being light headed and he took my blood pressure. My bp was always reasonably low, 4 months ago the light headedness started and he told me to increase sodium as my bp had dropped. I have been intaking a ton of sodium, so when he retested now I was shocked to find out it still dropped more my bp is now 85 or 55. As soon as he said what it was, he decided to get my blood tested to figure out whats going on. So now I'm a little freaked. Anyone have lbp what caused it for you, what did they do to fix it?

Secondly, I have been getting an annoying pain right under my right bottom rib. Where my gallbladder is and issues with gallbladders run in my family. If anyone has had gallstones can you please tell me exactly what you felt? I have to go for an ultrasound soon for it and am just curious. My pain is only like 1-2 times a week, its not the worst pain ever but it can take my breath away and it hurts for a minute, faints a bit and then comes back.

Thanks for any feedback guys :)

lbp: yes, it seems I am always running low and run right about the same as you do. After surgery I always drop lower at one point it was something crazy like 55/32 and they gave me medication to bring it up. On my period I am in the mid to high 80's over 50 something. I don't know why I run low but the doctor has never really done anything about it. I do get light headed and dizzy when I stand up too quick. Sorry, that's all I can say about that. Increasing your liquids should help raise your BP.

Gall Stones: Yes, I had them several years ago and I had my gallbladder removed. I remember the pain waking me up in the middle of the night- I thought I was having a heart-attack! lol I had sever pain and tenderness from my right side underneath my rib that radiated to my chest and back. The pain was pretty intense but it would come and go. The onset of pain was usually triggered by eating anything high fat and would mostly always wake me up at night. Sometimes I felt I couldn't breathe. I would always be nauseous and throw up a lot after eating anything and everything gave me heartburn. That pretty much sums it up!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
