:sick Has anyone had a bad reaction from a refill? I was told it could be some type of allergy reaction and I may need to have a shot for it before my next refill.

Not sure I would call it a bad reaction - I usually run a little fever several hours after a fill or unfill. I get cold and sleepy. It goes away in a couple of hours.

:help: I had swelling around the band area and couldn't even get water swallowed. At first we thought it I was to tight, but that wasn't the case. By the time I could get back to the doctor I was ok, but I suffered for 4 days and had to get I.V. with fluids due to dehydration. This has happened both times and I have a 3 hr dirve to the Doctor. I am ok at first, but by the next day I cna not even keep my spit down. Someone had suggested to take a shot that would prevent inflammation/swelling (can't remember the medication they said to get). I was just curiousi f anyone else have had this problem and what they do about it.

Benadryl works for allergic reactions and you can buy the pills over the counter. It might be a good idea to take one 30 minutes before a fill if you have such bad reactions.
