When I had my surgery, on June 19th, I was in a snug 26 jeans, and 5X top.

Today I'm in a fabulous 18 jeans, and XL top...with some Large tops fitting, as well!

:)

I started in a tight 18/20W and 2XL tops and I am currently in mostly 4's and some 3-4's and small or extra small tops. I love my sleeve. I want to lose 15 more pounds.

I started at 232 on 08/13/12...was 227 day of surgery 08/17/12 and today I am 199...My height is 5'8...I have been working out since week 2...started out walking 1 and then moved to 3 miles...now I am doing run/walk interval about 3 days a week and just started Insanity Workout 5 days a week last week...I want things to be tone once the weight come off and I am afraid of skin issue so I wanted to get some strength training in as soon as I can...

I went from a size 26-24 or triple XL to a size 10 and a large-medium shirt. Love this sleeve! I hope to eventually be a size six!

I'm 5'5" tall

Started out at 243,6

Surgery 3/13/12

Size 20/ 2-3XL

Today 146 and size 6's and small tops. Still working on those last 6 pounds. This might put me in a 4 as some 6's are loose.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
