Recommended Posts

I was at a stall for a little over 2 months mabye longer I stepped on the scale 2 days ago and was so happy because I had lost 5lbs. I step on the scale today and I'm back to the weight I was stalled at I'm a little frustrated has anyone experienced this??

I have already and i'm only 3 weeks in total... I experienced it a a lot during my life. Research it. You need to really weigh yourself once a week and ideally in the morning and nude. Your body changes weight each day based upon many factors that affect Fluid retention, etc.. So, that is normal. I do go on it a few times a day and can vary 1.5 pounds in same day.. During my past stalls, I still found clothes fit much better, and that is also your body's way of adjusting from what I have researched..

I am a Water retainer big time and it is sooooo frustrating. I also am a slave to the scale, but I try to use it as a tool. Set yourself a weigh in day and time as PP said and only "count" that as official. No matter how many times you get on the scale.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
