New & Revision Is Scheduled!

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Ashley from Southeast TN. I was banded in December 2009. I initially lost around 75 pounds, but started having problems and gained it all back plus some. Every time I get a fill, I have problems. I switched bariatric doctors. My current surgeon did an endoscopy and found that I had a very large ulcer. It is all healed and my surgery is scheduled for October 3! I just started my pre-op diet today.

I'm very excited! I feel like I'm getting another chance at weight loss. Although, I do have that little doubt of "what if it doesn't work?" I'm sure it will all be okay though!

I just had my revision surgery on September 10th. It is very different than the band. You literaly can not eat beyond your full point. Right now I am up to 4 oz of shake at a time. It really is a glorious feeling, and the thought of not being able to overeat again is wonderful I wish you all the best and no worries: you will do this with the band!

Thanks, Amazon! This pre-op diet might kill me, but I know in the end that it will be so worth it! I know each doctor is different when giving pre-op diets. From now until Tuesday, I'm allowed 3 shakes and one low calorie meal. Starting on Wednesday I am only allowed 4 shakes a day. I have a baby shower on Thursday for a co-worker, and I'm so afraid that I'm going to be tempted!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
