My surgery I'd the 9th on a tuesday. I am taking that week and the next week off. I am starting to get kind of excited! My NUT said that sometimes people could go back after a week, but that seems way too soon! A month would be nice!

Hi, just wondering how u are doing? I have been on my pre op diet since Monday and am doing good, but the weekend may be a big challenge, hubby has a takeaway and I know I will be tempted, lol. I am just focussing on what I should eat and making sure I have in what I need to stick to it. I am on the 800 -1,000cal low fat, low Carb, low sugar min Protein diet, glad I am not on the 14 day milk diet.

I am using the fitness pal app to log what I eat and am finding it very helpful.

I am going to get weighed in a short while and am hoping I have lost some more weight, only getting weighed twice a week, but I want to get on everyday.

My mom who is 80 has been Ill this week and late last night was rushed into hospital in delirium and I just wanted to comfort eat when I got home, but didn't, I had 2 slices of chicken and was satisfied.

Would love to hear how you are getting pre op, Janet

My date is 10/15 too. I'm extremely excited and nervous at the same time. I have been up reading posts since I got my approval. Looking forward to downloading the fitness pal app to track my progress. Any other ideas or tips would be super! I'm going shopping for Protein Shakes today and have no clue which ones are best.

Best of luck to you all!!

Happy Thoughts

My date is October 4th. I took 8 days off work. That's all the time I had available. So I am hoping I have a good recovery. I only work 3 days a week so that kinda helps. Congrats on your surgery!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
