Pre-op was definitely the worst, and mine was only two days! I barely made it. When I see what others have to do, I'm in awe. The best I can offer is that you'll never feel this way again! Hang in there!

Mine is only a week and I thought is be fine but I am sadly mistaken lol

I was really concerned that I would feel like that forever, but as soon as you go under, it really is over! It feels sort of miraculous. And like I said, I almost gave up in the two days.

Starting my second week. Everyone told me if I made it to day 3 I would be OK. Not exactly. This is tough. This weekend I have tried hard to stay busy so to keep my mind off of food. Celery is saving me!!! Good luck.

Are you sure you can have Celery already? That seems a little rough for our unhealed stomachs. My hunger didn't completely go away until this week-week 4. Protein is what keeps me going....

I just kept eating something. I went from one thing to the next with 3 Protein Shakes a day, and sf pospsicles, and low sodium broths were a free for all. I still lost and my liver was fine.

This will pass and your be sitting on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH before you know it..... CONGRATS!

I started preop this am. 15 days. I have to say it is challenging at best. Day 1 morning has been okay. I am sure day 4, my feelings will be a bit different. I told our Nanny this AM that she only needed to prepare soups. She looked at me like I was crazy. Mind you, this is not the 1st time we have had this convo! I guess it is a bit much to understand unless u are going through it!

I started my liquid diet today...My surgeon said 3 days before surgery is plenty of time to shrink the liver before surgery!! 15 days seems like a lot!! But I dont know anything! LOL..I have to say im extremely nervous !! Good luck to all you you !!

I am on day 8. Trust me, day 5 was the worst! Keep busy. That is the only thing that helps me.

You are not alone...I have been doing this since Labor day and I don't what changed...but whoa...I have been hungry All Day!...chewing my sf gum/drinking water and reading to stay busy.
