I've Been Sleeved!

  • Popular Post

ANd feel pretty good considering it was only done yesterday. Surgery went well -it went faster than anticipated even with a hiatal hernia repair. Today even after they took me off the pain drip six hours ago iM just now asking for a shot. So the pain hasn't been too overwhelming. The gas is moderate and I've been drinking fairly well. Thanks to the great staff at Greater Baltimore Medical Center!

Congrats! I'm 5 days out, feeling well. I'm glad your recovery sounds perfect! Emotionally missing food has been hard for me, but with a total of 30 lbs down with pre op diet and post op, I've got my eyes set on the future! Can't wait for some puréed yumminess. Glad all is well! Stay strong and hydrated!!

Your posting is helping me to not worry about the recovery, i also have a Hiatal Hernia and it wil be fix during surgery, the only thing I'm worried about is that my liquid diet has not been a great one and i only lost albs. so far :-(

TiDubb have you tried the gas-x strips that melt on your toungue?!? They work amazing!

I took gas x chewable tablets but last night I tried the heating pad suggestion--Worked Wonders! Woo Hoo!! Now that the gas is gone I am feeling the soreness from the large incision. I did not know your body did so many twists and turns when you are trying to get up and down from sittling are laying. I am so happy I found this forum.

Gratz on your sleeve, wishing you a speedy recovery!
