  1. I just went through a new sleep study test and have been informed by my doctor that I no longer need to use my CPAP machine! Yay! I am down 76 pounds as of today and love my sleeve.
  2. AmyO. I live in Joppa! Would love to connect with a fellow wLs buddy. I used dr mo at GBMC.
  3. Donnalynn68. I used gbmc for my WLS but I am from Harford county. Would love a WLS buddy!
  4. Lisa2job. I sent you a friend request on MFP. Your weight loss is fantastic! I've lost 32 lbs with half of that presurgery. My WLS was a breeze, too. No complications -- yay. Have had the foamies when I eat too much or my tummy isnt ready for the food. Hard to know my limits but I'm learning.
  5. Was sleeved on 11 September and am looking for my fitness pals. I am besquared1426. Please join me.
  6. Me, too! My surgery was 11 Sep. Dr Mo is terrific. I go to the support sessions at GBMC.
  7. Hi I am 13 days postoperative and feel great. Everything went fine. Have my second postoperative visit in two weeks. Already losing weight, including preop have lost 22lbs!
  8. ANd feel pretty good considering it was only done yesterday. Surgery went well -it went faster than anticipated even with a hiatal hernia repair. Today even after they took me off the pain drip six hours ago iM just now asking for a shot. So the pain hasn't been too overwhelming. The gas is moderate and I've been drinking fairly well. Thanks to the great staff at Greater Baltimore Medical Center!
  9. Sep 11th for me. Eating last meal right now.
  10. Whoop! Whoop! Way-to-go! Good luck on the 24 Sep surgery.
  11. Wow, my doctor requires would-be patients to agree to an open surgery IF for any reason, including large liver, they can't do it laproscopically. What an unfortunate suprise for you. If you really want this, I'm sure you'll manage the 20 lbs though I know it will be hard. Good luck. I feel for you.
  12. I'm finding that a protein drink helps alieve the hunger pains some. I also have been eating the occasional cheese stick as my pre-op diet is high-protein, low-carb for 12 days, then 2 days clear liquids.
  13. You might try diluting it with water. I know, means more liquid! Or adding crystal light powder to the container. It makes it a bit more palatable.
  14. Mine is a little different. 2 days clear liquids, 1 week full liquids, 1 week puree and 2 weeks soft foods, then reintroduce regular foods one at a time
  15. Glad you were able to get everything straightened out. Good luck on your upcoming surgery, whenever it is!
  16. Good luck. My turnaround with BCBS Fed was less than 24 hours so I beat your time! Lol. And since I've already met the $5000 OOP expenses, everything is covered 100%. When is your surgery? Mine is next Tuesday.
  17. I, too, have BCBS federal and got approved in less than 24 hours. My sleeve surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday, the 11th. Is there some reason, other than misinterpretation of the insurance policy, that your doctor wants you to have bypass over sleeve?
  18. You'll have no problem if your paperworks in order. I have BCBS Fed also. I got approved within 24 hours of the submission. Hope you get better and approved soon.
  19. 11 September and ready to do it!
  20. I got my surgery date last week. Woo-hoo! I'm scheduled for 11 September. Go to pre-op appt tonight!
  21. Sept 11th for me. Greater Baltimore Medical Center
  22. My two weeks pre-op are just to eat lots of protein and low carb. Two days of liquids only.
  23. Yay! I am officially scheduled for 11 September! And my insurance is already approved -- only took BCBS one day.
  24. Wishing you both good luck and speedy healing.
