2nd fill and...Nothing?

Recommended Posts

Got my 2nd fill on tuesday and I can still eat alot! I have about .4 the frirst fill and 1/3 this time making a total 1.7 put in my band now and the doctor said I should be full pretty quick and its not happening. My wife says I should go back next week for another fill but its still sore from the last time. I am following the rules, eating right and exercising.

Anyone else had this happen?

should I worry?

Mark

it took me about 4-5 fillls, 2.5 cc's total, before I really felt the restriction. And sometimes, you don't really feel your fill till a week or two later.

I agree. I have 2.25 right now and not near enough restriction. Today is the first day since surgery that I've eat too much and I eat 4 little halloween candy bars. Yes you seen it right 4. I could kick my big fat ass, and somebody ought too. Pay 10,000.00 for surgery and have paid for 2 fills so far, I'm freaking retarded. I hate myself right now and I ought too. I have an appointment for Tuesday next week. What is some of you guys ideal of how much I should get put in. He usually asks me how much I want.

mysherrijo, How many candy bars would you have eaten before surgery? Probably more than 4 (after all if they are Halloween bars they are small right:confused: ).Don't be so hard on yourself! You've lost 36 lbs in 2 months??:clap2: That's beyond awesome!! Would you have done that on your own? I say keep up the good work and enjoy a couple of candy bars now and then. Don't completely deprive yourself.:)

As for fills, BE CAREFUL, I thought I was too loose so I added .5 and have been miserable for a week.:faint: Went back today and got .2 removed. My doc said I was lucky I didn't slip my band or dilate my pouch.:)

Hey Laura,

Yes they were the small ones but I knew better. It's the first time I've done that and it's not even T.O.M. How does your 3.2 fill feel? I have 2.25 and am going Tuesday for another fill and I'm sure he'll probably go to 3.0. I was just curious do you have good restriction now.

I knew when I bought those stupid candy bars I would do this, but your right, tomorrow is another day and I'll just have to do better tomorrow.

Hope you having a great week.

my fills took a week to kick in, give it time. ..if no restriction after 2 weeks give your Dr. a call. Many doctors will not give another fill until you have waited 2 weeks between fills.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
