Ok.so im almost 16 weeks out i go to the gym 4-5 times a week. Eat less than 1000 calories . And the scale actually went up 5 pounds. I dont get it i have accepted im a slow loser but this is really messing with me. For the last 2 weeks i have added hiking on the weekends to me routine. Im sore and i deffinately feel my work outs yet im not getting the results. Sorry just needed to vent. Oh and ive lost 48 pounds total including preop.

Are you measurements changing? Muscle weighs more than fat and it seems like you are doing enough to be adding muscle.

Just wondering. I saw it happen alot when I owned a Curves franchise.

It could be muscle since your sore and the scale went up. I know that when I start working out, I tend to gain weight but lose inches( Stupid body builds muscle easy), so that might be it. If your hitting the weights, maybe try just cardio??

It has to be muscle weight since it weighs lots more than fat! I hear ya, I have been at the same weight for 3 weeks then I drop 2 lbs...I know it is slowing since I am close to goal but really?

I need to take measurements . I just get so jealous of people dropping the weight super fast and no exersizing. I know not to compare to anyone else but its just hard. Not going to give up heading ti the gym for some cardio tonight . If i keep on the scale should eventually move ?? Right?

I just recently added hiking to my six day per week/one hour per day gym routine as well and... Stalled! Sounds like a similar story. The hikes have been quite intense and to add it to the other exercise I thought it would kick up the weight loss. Boy was I wrong! But I'm still having a great time hiking and being more active, and I'm sure my body will adapt and go back to losing. Hang in there!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
