A Funny thing Happened to Me...

LOL.....I'm not near as gentle and kind as you guys....I get down right nasty when negative reference is made re my weight. I would have spouted...."well, I guess at your age time is of the essence and the speed is necessary so that you accomplish what needs doing....before "you know what" I am so mean and evil.....and have a very sharp tongue.

I was having a pleasant afternoon out today with a girlfriend. Then we dropped into this upscale discount clothing place which was having a sale. Perfect, I thought, but nothing was larger than size fourteen in women's sizes although men of size were covered. I was pissed. I have money and I was there to shop. I also know that some of those manufacturers do make sizes that are bigger than fourteen. My friend wanted me to stir things up but I didn't want to risk eating a humiliation sandwhich.

That's why he's in a scooter. All that anger and nastiness has bottled up in his body and keeps it from functioning. shake his comments off, like dust from your feet. At least you're doing something positive in order to enhance your health ... he's just smoldering in his own crap and crying out for:help:!!!

I find killing people with kindness shocks them. For example, when someone gives me the "finger" in a car, I wave and smile. They assume I know them so they must know me and usually give a nervous wave back. When I hold the door for someone or move out of the way and they don't say "thank you" I say "you're so very welcome." That usually snaps them back to reality and they say, "thanks" and scurry away.

Clearly, this man on the scooter was a miserable person. I would have replied, "why thank you for that information and you have a wonderful day." I refuse to stoop to the level of imbeciles.

That's a really cool approach. I tend to be a hothead but I am impressed and would like to try it.

I would like to try it also, but coming from my background, the quicker I shut up, the better things will be. I like to be too clever with my verbal comebacks and I have found that when verbally embarrassed, most men resort to physical violence, even when their chances of winning is small: Rather to be a defeated warrior than a reluctant (would be) warrior.

I am totally apalled at what some people say to others... I was at the book store yesterday and was buying several books including Soup and smoothie cook books, a few novels and Weight Loss for Dummies.

The clerk actually said to me .. "I have a cousin who had gastric bypass..not a pretty story" Since I really thought it was none of her business and I am being banded on Thursday I only retorted, "I'm not having that done.... and left .. NOt sure why people think they can say whatever they want to you about your weight.

Because you chose to be fat.

Well at least that is their reasoning.

Black people are forgiven their race by some people because they couldn't help being Black and besides the constitution says so.

Females can't help it either, though our nation didn't allow the ERA to pass.

Let's face facts: Unless you are a slender WASP male, you are the butt of jokes.

The reasons that blond women are also made the butt of so many jokes is because WE All KNOW how stupid blond women are, yet Lady Clairol still makes money. See how dumb women are? They pay extra to be called stupid.

The blonde situation is a strange one. I am blonde and one of my girlfriends is certain that I get better treatment than she does, so sure in fact that she gets me to deal with sales clerks, so sure in fact that at one point she had her hair dyed blonde. She quickly dyed it back to its natural colour. She looked lousy as a blonde.

As for my own experiences, I work with men and I am treated as a blonde. They are inevitably surprised when I show signs of intelligence. I dyed my hair red for a few years and got away with being as cranky as I want to be. They said, "well, what do you expect? She's a redhead." As for being treated better because you are a blonde. My friend is right. I do get better treatment than she does. Men must enjoy helping bimbos. And when I actually am having a dim moment I now blame it on my blondeness. This generally raises a laugh.

ADULT DISCUSSION TO FOLLOW – READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

Let me explain why blonds are made the butt of jokes and yet simultaneously are treated better than women with other hair colors.

Grown Men are Stupid

Grown Men still think like children. In fact one of my pet sayings is, "Men are just male children with large bodies".

I do not think that I am a spectacular bedroom performer, but I would venture to say that no man can enjoy sex as much as a women can. Well at least most of the women I know. No matter how a man is genitally stimulated, by orifice penetration, manually or orally, he is limited to (at best) a handful of orgasms in one night. I have heard of 7 in one night, but 3 or 4 is more like the limit for even great performers and 2 orgasms puts a male in a high class. One male orgasm if delayed for a while is about all most women can hope for.

On the other hand, a women once confided that she had her greatest night with a man who helped her achieve 58 orgasms. Many women are able to have multiple orgasm while oral sex is being performed on them and then more orgasms while engaging in vaginal intercourse. If the man is spurred on, he can rejuvenate while performing another round of oral sex on the women, hopefully bringer her to more multiple orgasms climaxing in a final burst that leaves her helpless, but ready for the rejuvenated man to slay her with multiple vaginal penetration orgasms. By repeated this another round or two, the man can rest while performing oral sex and then perform vaginal intercourse until orgasm, maybe 3 or 4 times that evening.

If the women performs oral sex on the man, he is finished for the night quite abruptly. The point of all this is to show that many women can enjoy 30-40-50 orgasms in a night while their male partner might have 4. So who enjoys sex more? Men or women? It is obvious that women enjoy sex more. But men enjoy thinking about it more and men enjoy anticipating sex more.

The male is satisfied when he succeeds in getting the women into the sack. Men still think they need to trick women into having sex. They still believe what they were lead to believe while children, that girls are afraid of sex and/or good girls don't do those things. Why else would a man try to get a perspective romantic encounter drunk? If she is drunk, her sensations will be numbed and she is less likely to respond vigorously in bed.

Now since men KNOW BLONDES ARE STUPID and since MEN KNOW WOMEN MUST BE FOOLED to get them in bed, of course men will treat blonds better. The nicer treatment is part of the kissing up routine, until they can fool them, have their couple of orgasms and move on to the next dumb woman. Of course if he gets lucky and she responds by having a slew of orgasms, he will assume that HE is a great lover and hang around for a while longer, though he will soon be hunting the next dummy de jour.

He will eventually leave the women for another and tell his male friends jokes about "that blond was so dumb, she actually fell for that line..."

He will never stop and think, "she had 25 orgasms and I had 2, so why did I have to trick her?" He can't admit to himself that she wanted to go to his bed as much (or more) as he wanted it. Because, then it would not have been a conquest and also he would have nothing to validate his jokes about blonds.

Please do not tell any men that you received this information from me. I am a man and have to live with them (no not that way). I am afraid if they find out about me they will revoke my male belly button, without which I will be barred from all fraternal meetings.

Thanks for your honest answer. It is as I suspected. I know a man in his forties who was recently fooled by a woman who told him that he had given her her first orgasm ever. The woman was very experienced but the guy promptly fell in love. As for the woman, she dallied with him for a few months and then moved back to her husband.

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!
